Karl Rove may not want to testify under oath before Congress, but he's more than willing to be grilled by another ferocious set: the nation's television reporters.
A week after ignoring a congressional subpoena, the former White House aide turned Fox News analyst joined Fox News Executive Vice President John Moody, fellow campaign operative turned political pundit Howard Wolfson and Fox anchorman Chris Wallace before the liberal-skewing press corps at the Television Critics Association's summer press tour in Los Angeles.

"I do talk to people in politics all across the country, some of whom are very active in the campaign," he explained in the Monday afternoon session, "[but] I play no official role, or ongoing role."
Rove was also quick to dismiss the notion that his refusal to testify in a probe of the Bush administration's firing of federal prosecutors amounted to too much political baggage for a news analyst to carry.
"It is not between me and Congress; this is between the White House and Congress," he said of the highly debated situation. "This is a longstanding battle over the principle of executive privilege and the ability of the president to receive advice from senior advisers, and for senior advisers not to be at the beck and call of Congress to testify."

"I'm like Grendel in Beowulf," he continues. "People talk about me ... and there's nothing I can do about it." Except to keep talking, which is precisely what the Fox News network is paying him to do.

"Of COURSE they'll vote Republican, where ELSE are they going to go?"
Karl Rove contnues to be one of my favorites. I like it when he answers dumb questions from the MSM with factual answers which make them look rather stupid and out of touch with reality.(which most seem to be anyway!)I hope he makes a ton of bucks at Fox so he can continue to tell the dimwitted democraps to “just shove it!”
Barack - vacant of most everything, but especially Gravitas!
