"This is a Train Wreck"
...Or so says Laura Ingraham, who hosted Just In at 5pmET on Fox News for just three weeks.
Ingraham is the latest in the list of news anchors to get pre-show footage leaked to Harry Shearer's MyDamnChannel.com.
The video shows Ingraham berating her staff ("You're talking too much" or "Don't hover at me"), declaring her show a "train wreck," and asking if what she saw as a problem was, "the Fox way of doing things?"
Her rants even crack up guest Fred Thompson at one point.
FNC insiders tell us Ingraham's off air behavior had nothing to do with the ending of the show. The show was designed to have a limited run. Insiders say she a "valuable talent" with a "long future at Fox" and she continues to be the lead substitute anchor for Bill O'Reilly.
Her story, that she wanted a temporary gig while in dispute with her syndicator, makes more sense.
Too bad, I was already addicted.
I still want to know what happened to John Gibson.
I dont know. I always like Laura, but I found I couldnt listen to her show for more than an hour at a clip—and I couldn’t watch the TV show.
I agree with her postions a good 90% of the time, but sometimes when she doesn’t like a guest she attacks them and doesn’t give them an opportunity to answer. I always felt that the key word was “guest.” I would never invite someone into my “home” and treat them that way. Lord knows I have disagreed with “guests.” They are never treated poorly.
She used to show some class. Now she is another shrieking blonde.
I watched the 9 minute tape and it looked like her producers and assistants were totally incompetent. Handing her background folders with nothing in them, trying to write the teleprompter intro just minutes prior to show time, people that she needed not being anywhere in sight, etc. If that’s the kind of behind the scenes staff that Fox has they’re in for a rough spell ahead. I think Bill O’Reilly would have chopped their heads off.
Her show doesn't run on a Clear Channel station here in Houston.
“Too bad, I was already addicted.”
Better call Dr. Phil.
I watched it also. Seems it was different times spliced together that show her under time pressure that she is guess what? Human.
Much ado here. She didn’t get the axe because of being human. She may have quit or the show was pointless. But not because of this stuff.
I thought I read it only had a three week run to test the waters. John Gibson Show was good though, think he’s still on the radio.
“I’m talking about the Clintons with Dick Morris. This Gitmo thing is old.”
Funny stuff.
She could be nicer to subordinates.

Rush used to do a T.V. show in NYC. We were fortunate to be part of an audiance. He was GREAT! This was a few years back.
I miss Rush’s syndicated show. He really didn’t like doing television, however, so I doubt he would return unless they offered him an amount equivalent to his recent radio deal.
She was too monotone!
It's the main reason I didn't like her radio show or her appearances on Fox.
He was fired a few months back.
among others, i worked on an interview show for a local channel. but the talent was a nationally-known retired sports star who currently announces national major league baseball games. also, the interview show is still in production.
let me tell you, most of these people are pretty awful from what i have seen. i've seen beratings, cursings, thrown objects, and downright childish behavior from the "talent."
it is accepted and considered part of the game. i don't see stuff like this to be reason to cancel an entire show. but there could be more to the story.
What, no pictures?......I thought we had a rule around here.....
She was aggravated but still polite for the most part. That one blond at the end was kinda hot looking. When she subs for O’Reilly, it looks like she’s got the makeup piled on. Her face is starting to look a bit female impersonatorish.
why not simply televise his radio show? it worked for stern and “mike and mike” on espn radio.
I agree. Seems fairly restrained to me for someone in a high-profile position, surrounded by incompetents. I’m sure their shows that have been running for years have all the kinks worked out. Most other new shows get weeks and weeks of ramping up.
John Gibson remains on FoxRadio daily and he is a frequent ‘guest’ on Fox during the hour that his show used to run — I saw him the end of last week.
I have such a funny story:
I have a couple friend, him conservative, she liberal. He taped Rush’s show one day......over their wedding video!
LOL
They are still married...and happily. How, though, no clue. I couldn’t live w/ a lib.

I watched the video. It is natural that a new show would have more glitches and a new host be vocal about them. That said, I have noticed Fox News has more problems with running the right video or pictures on request that the other networks.
I don’t know what the problem is but it is irritating on what is otherwise is the best cable news network.
What ever happened to Ken Hamblin? He was always a perfect gentleman.
I agree.
It’s hard to believe that Laura sucks up to BOR to keep the sub gig on his show. Rush is right: BOR is Ted Baxter.
He’s on Fox Talk Radio 6pm-9pm
I saw old clips from Rush’s TV show.. Everyone in suits!
I know he wouldn’t go for doing that again.. One can dream though.
That was You? I saw the show several times and I don't remember Rush or anything that he said or did. I do remember staring at the audience. Every one of them was well dressed, polite, attentive and orderly. I didn't know that people like that still existed.
Sorry folks, this is horse crap. Pure BS. Fox wants a RAT ass licker, Laura wasn’t fair and balanced enough.
You want a total Ho? Think BOR.
I like Laura, but this show didn’t work. Write it off, and better luck next time.

She won her Iraq war theater campaign ribbon. She was detailed by Fox News to Amman Jordan to report man in the street reaction. She found he man in the street in the bar of the Holiday Inn
geeze louise, I’d have walked off on day one.
Nope, they cancelled his show, but I saw Gibson within the last week.
She's cute, even when she's aggravated :)
since May 2005, Harry Shearer has been a contributing blogger at left-leaning, The Huffington Post
Laura sounds like an habitual complainer.
Man, if only my boss was so nice with such incomptetance!
I agree, but I am graphics impaired, so somone else will have to do it.
Gotta agree. This video makes FNC look bad, not Laura.
Sorry about the typo.
Why are you listening to radio? Go to any beer joint in Chubbuck and you will get all the latest conservative viewpoints! And prolly learn how the problems of the US of A could be fixed pronto before your 2nd gulp! ;^)
Rush called him Ted Baxter? O’Reilly can be such a pompous windbag at times. They had an expert on his show once who was going to explain why gas was so expensive, but O’Reilly kept giving his stupid opinion on it. All the regular women on his show have to kiss O’Reilly’s ass or at least be subservient to him- Megyn and Lisa Whiel (who is starting to look like a witch)
I dunno, her frsutration seemed very restrained to me considering that her staff did not have their act together. I didn’t see any “ranting” and she certainly didn’t scream at or cuss anyone out.
Wiehl worked for the House of Representatives team (as “principal deputy chief minority investigative counsel” for the House Judiciary Committee) in the late 1990s, including during the Clinton impeachment proceedings.
Wiehl married criminal-defense attorney Mickey Sherman on June 23, 2006 in Old Greenwich, Connecticut. Sherman is a television legal analyst who represented Kennedy cousin Michael Skakel in the murder trial in which Skakel was convicted.
I watched her show a couple of times and for some reason Laura just grated on me so I stopped watching.
