Congressional Approval Hits Record-Low 14%**
But his latest trip down Tin Pan Alley had an even more personal resonance: Hatch said he was asked by several colleagues to put down his feelings about a very close friend who is facing a serious illness. The friend is the legendary liberal Ted Kennedy, and the colleagues are Democrats who envision having the song played as a tribute to Kennedy at next month's Democratic convention - and as a living example of a brotherhood that transcends party lines.
The result, "Headed Home," is a lilting ballad that even its author can't repeat without tearing up. The lyrics, he said, refer to Kennedy's heroic return to the Senate where Kennedy has served for almost 46 years and Hatch for 32.) Sailing home, sailing home. America, America, we're headed home at last --- "It's a wonderful thing," Senator John F. Kerry, the junior Democratic senator from Massachusetts, said when told of Hatch's composition. "I think it's entirely appropriate" to play it at the convention, Kerry said, because it would send a message of unity.
that’s the whole problem with the u.s. senate.
the stockholm syndrome.
they fall in love with each other and ignore their constituents.
I thought they were at 9% last week?
9% is Rasmussen, 14% is today’s Gallup.
So true that it hurts me to read it!
Maybe Orrin could write a ballad for Mary Jo Kopechne to play at the Democrat Convention while he’s at it.
Will somebody PLEASE attach some electrical wires to my “nogos” and turn on the juice . . .
The unity is always Republican unity extended to the dems never the other way round.
Time for term limits.
Kennedy ballad: Row, row, row your boat Gently down the stream. Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, Life is but a dream.
There, I can feel the love now....
>>>Time for term limits.
YEAH: I say one term is enough!
Since Kennedy isn’t in immediate danger of dying, let me just say that he is a piece of human garbage who sat by while a young lady sat trapped in a slowly submerging car, caring nothing for her life, but rather his reputation. I will not shed a single tear for any murderer on death row who meets his just punishment on this earth, so why should I feel one ounce of sympathy for a man who is no less guilty?
“Time for term limits.”
Applied retroactively.
I just had dinner and I think I’m going to puke.
Good idea. We should email him and suggest it. What is wrong with O. Hatch?
>>>Since Kennedy isnt in immediate danger of dying, let me just say that he is a piece of human garbage
The one comforting thing about all of this is the knowledge that in the afterlife, there is no danger of Mary Jo running into killer Ted, up there...
Let the phony hatch, from Utah, remember how ted kennedy changed this country forever with his immigration legislation.
Pleae some one give me a bucket to puke in over this sanctimonious ass called orin hatch...
Who knows? But it’s highly doubtful that anybody who’s willing to spend a lifetime in a place like Washington has a competently functioning central nervous system in the first place.
I won't speak for God, but I have a sneaking suspicion you are probably right.
Dana Carvey came up with the church lady act after watching Orrin Hatch.
Maybe Jimmy Carter could write a poem for the Convention.
When you can listen to a man yell lies in the US Senate repeatedly and still think well of him, there is something wrong with you...as well as him.
Where’s the feelings for Jesse Helms?
Unity is when RINOs roll over for Dems.
I'm working on a composition to submit to Obama's Dem convention where I'm hoping to reunite Little Stevie and Macca in duet ...
Ted Kennedy would only be “heading home” if he fell into a vat at the Dewar’s plant.

"...and, trust me, I know about drowning!"
Hatch has been a moronic RINO for several terms . I still think the most patriotic vote is to vote against all incumbents regardless of race, color, greed, religion or state of origin.
One hundred Senators and I can count on one hand those who are not demented/senile, on prosaic, ravaged by a brain tumor, drunk or criminally insane.
What type of person would save his own skin and let a young woman drown in his car without doing anything to save her? The years can’t wipe out his shame. A just God will ascribe an appropriate punishment.
I don’t even know what to say about this. It boggles my mind.
Are democrats happy about this?
Senator Ted is Dead...
No, no, no, no
A tumor is in his head...
(I'll see y'all when I get out of the penalty box.)
