Foxy, this is so very beautiful, a real treasure. Hope my tears don’t drown the keyboard—I was fine reading it. This was such a labor of love for you, and not easy to write, but please know how much this meant to those of us who could not be there.
It was so sweet and kind of you, in the midst of your own grief, to take the time to let all of us know of this poignant farewell to Tony.
I had not seen the photo of Robbie on his last walk with his beloved father; such a grown-up deed for such a young lad.
I know you are grieving terribly for your dear friend. Tony’s death has brought us all together for what I hope will not be our last time. Tony wouldn’t want us to be sad. Maybe we could start a regular ping to pass around favorite Tony stories!

Yes, G-Chick, it was not easy to write at this time. Perhaps later it will come easier. But, as you feel sad at missing the funeral, I feel sad to have not been able to join in more actively in these Threads. This is a bit of an effort to make up for that. I am waiting for my emotions to catch up to reality. Tony’s passing has not sunk in, even yet. That was one very good aspect of attending the funeral...it provided some visual confirmation of the passage of this man who I viewed as larger than life.
There can never be too many hearts for the grieving Snow family. I am sure they are grateful that yours will be added.

I have not read anything so elequent on FR since I first joined this forum in the year 2000.
I have been in tears, and you are so right that Tony was who he was in the presence of those in high positions of leadership down to the simplest person on the street!
Your recap of the funeral was so comforting for those of us who did not attend.
May God Bless His Family and those who are grieving deeply right now.
