Sharpton 'Very Disappointed' With Jesse Jackson Calls For Public Figures To Be 'Consistent' NEW YORK (CBS) ― Rev. Al Sharpton spoke out Thursday against Rev. Jesse Jackson's use of the N-word that was caught on tape while preparing for an interview for Fox News.

Sharpton, who has joined Jackson in opposition of the word, said on CBS News' The Early Show on Thursday that he was "very disappointed" by this latest revelation.

"I think this certainly does not reflect the Reverend Jackson that we all know and love," Sharpton said. "I think that we have to be consistent. We have denounced the N-word at National Action Network and other groups. Those of us and many of us who have used it privately said we must refrain from it if we're going to challenge people using it publicly."

This town ain’t big enough for two race-hustlers.

Looks like Sharpton sees an opening and is going for the jugular.

Shouldn’t Jackson have to go to Sharpton and ask for an apology or something? Shouldn’t his career be ruined? I mean, the guy said the word “nigger” on television and threatened to cut a black man’s “nuts off”!

Oh wait, that’s right, he’s black.

Actually, Al, it shows the real Jesse - not the pretend fellow you see on the news. You know, Al, sorta like the Tawana Brawley incident showed us who YOU really are.

“More importantly, at this hour, I hope the American people and the people who have been enlightened and who have benefited from his service can find room in their hearts to forgive him and move on.”

What about those of us who have not been enlightened [by him] nor benefited from his service?

The only thing that worries me about this is it shows how different BHO is from these clowns.

"The question is whether the use of the N-word by an African-American to another African-American, talking about African-Americans is offensive."

If the answer is "It's OK for us, but not for Whitey" -- then that is as racist as it gets...

(Check for yourself: listen to a bunch of "homies talkin' trash on each other", and, then, if you are white, step in and use the same language...)

Nor has the crooked, lying pig ever paid the libel-judgment money to the district attorney he helped that liar Tawana Brawley try to send to prison.

He is pure stinking trash.

It's hard to believe this was Jackson's first use of the term nigger. Also, from the lack of moral outrage on the face of the person he said it to - I suspect it's not the first time that man has heard it either.

He didn't even appear shocked Jackson said it.

Is use of the "N" and the attendant outrage only for guilty white liberals? Liberals who get all a twitter over this "insult" while blacks aren't blinking an eye?

Something doesn't add up.

Oh, and FOX News and O'Reilly need to get real on this... the motto of FOX can't be, "We're the gatekeepers, you're the sheep".

I suspect all the news people at FOX were allowed to hear the tape - they were able to "decide" - while we were "protected for our own good".

Shame on FOX.

"N-word"

They sound like a bunch of whining babies -- the thin-skinned bunch of hypocrites.

I was once chastized by a negro, back in the early seventies for using the then popular phrase to whine about -- "colored people". A phrase I was taught to use by my mother [a very kind and aware Southern lady] from a very young age [about five, I think]. We were in a drugstore in Cleveland, Ohio having a soda, when she heard me innocently use the word "nigger" [a word not used in our home -- one I learned right there in that very northern city]. I had just asked a black man if his name was "nigger."

Mom immediately called down about it, apologigized to the man for my remark, and then told me never to use that word again, becasue it was a bad form of the word 'negro' which means black. And she went further by saying something which has stuck with me to this day -- "Never look down on a black person because of their color -- the only difference between them and us is that they got a bit of sunburn before they left heaven to be born."

Incidentally, about that negro who ‘chastized’ me for referring to colored people because black people saw it a slur, I asked him, “Then why isn’t the name of the NAACP a slur?” He Hmmmed and Hawed for a few seconds, silently turned away, embarrassed, and never brought up the subject again.

And the NAACP still’s name still, hypocritacally contains that “racial slur.” But I guess it’s alright — changing their name every time the thin-skinned “leader” decide that whatever is in common usage to describe negroi people is suddenly politically incorrect would soon become a pain in the butt. And it would really be rather ridiculous these days if you added if they added AA for African-American, now wouldn’t it?

It’s time for the self-appointed ‘black leaders’ to knock off that silly kind of crap and earn their money spending some time on worthwhile things to help their people become a true, equal and proud part of THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.
