He changed to cigars [from cigarettes] in 1966 after he said he was told they were "healthier" They taste a lot better too.

Mr Priestly began smoking at the age of nine, he has since smoked 153,000 cigars and 715,400 cigarettes Jack Priestly claims he has suffered no serious health problems related to his tobacco and alcohol habit. Yeah but I bet he is real short.

I wonder if he can feel or taste anything with his tongue anymore...maybe the cheap scotch is for pain relief.

So that's the secret to longevity. It must be. I remember George Burns used to joke that "They say cigars are habit-forming. Well, I've been smoking six a day for the last 65 years and I haven't picked up the habit yet."

When the tobacco company heard of an 84 year old man who was smoking their brand of cigarettes since the age of ten, they got him to agree to filming a commercial endorsing their product.
They flew him out to New York, set him up in a fine hotel, and called him on the phone to schedule the filming.
They asked him how he the flight was? “Fine.”
They asked him how the hotel was? “Wonderful.”
They asked him if they could send a limousine to pick him up at 9AM tomorrow to bring him to the studio. “Nope.”
Why not? “Because I don’t stop coughing until around noon.”
