Either the media purposely scrubbed that section from the printed transcript or, more likely, BHO veered away from his prepared remarks on the teleprompter and was" talkin' out the side of his neck" for a minute, revealing what he would really like to implement.

Ah, I opined that Hillarycare would lead to only politically correct persons getting appointed to medical school by the government. Looks like Obamacare will do that one better by adding a Goon Squad for coming after Christians.
I’d say the odds are good that if he becomes President, there will indeed be a civilian army. In fact, there already is a civilian army, and if you’re between the ages of 18 and 45 you’re a member.

Americorp is such a rip-off: they pay a stipend, so they can pay less than minimum wage ($6.90/hr), the supposed health insurance they offer would take up most of that stipend, and you only get it for full time positions,which are very rare. How anyone could afford to serve full time is beyond me. But the administrators of it get paid quite well.
To register each and every lazy tax parasite in the country to vote, and bus them all out for elections and liberal street demonstrations and such. That's what community organizers do.
Making this a federal program isn't national service, it's national suicide.

These people won’t have anything to do, except stick their nose in other people’s business.
That is a 400 billion dollar ticket, but worse.....is he really proposing a Gestapo. Will they have an Air Force, an Army equipped with tanks, canons, missils, etc. What will be their mandate? That is what he said....'just as well funded, just as strong",....I have never heard a politician make such a statement. This should cinch the election for McCane.
I’m sure of it too. More than once or twice, he’s actually read FR thread comments on his show. Still, it would be nice to be able to ping someone on his staff to relevant threads that might otherwise be overlooked. I remember one of his staff, I think it might’ve been Dawn, used to post here. But, back when the oxycontin scandal broke, some FReepers were posting really really ugly stuff about Rush. The staffer defended him for awhile, and then asked the mods to delete her account. I felt so sad for her.
On one memorable occasion, Rush used the phrase “barf alert” on his show.

I think Obama uses broad analogies and has no clue that it makes no sense in reality. They try to put together phrases for the cadence of it and play with vague notions.
I be he couldn’t even tell you what he meant...or what the person who wrote it meant, because it probably doesn’t “mean” anything.
Which, in a way, is worse than if he meant it.
