You’ll never find them. Don’t you realize that “Celebrity Dancing with the American Idols who Want to be Millionaires on the next Oprah with Regis and Kelly” is on right now?

Heck, someone needs to make an ACCURATE movie about the founding of this country, portraying the Founding Fathers as what they were: limited government, anti-central banking, pro-liberty, respectful, moral, and in most cases religious. Not to mention patriots to the very inner core of their body, with bravery entwined with every fiber of their being... if only.

You and I think alike. And that frightens me.Probably, except in my case I really wouldn't call it "thinking"...

It certainly will not, but I fear that far too many Americans are too ignorant of the Constitution to support it till the end.

Agreed.
You remember the Star Trek episode (no, I'm not a "Trekkie," but thanks for asking) where the crew from parallel universes confront each other? A good crew and an 'evil' crew?
I'd like to make a film of parallel universes where the Left institute Socialism and the Right strengthen and maintain a strong Republic with democratic principles - two opposing futures. We walk through a doorway between the two. We get thrown in re-education camp (prison) in one for not walking the socialist walk, then (somehow) discover a portal between parallel futures and escape into the other future where our hero falls in love, makes a self-determined choice to assist suppressed nations find freedom, nations given hope and inspiration by America's courageous leadership and unwavering example.
Or something like that.

But, you're going to have a harder time finding politico's who can credibly portray the right.

Since this is a movie (were I to actually do it), I can fabricate politicos on both sides. This means, of course, that while the Left will pretty much be identical to those currently on the Left, the Right will be created out of 'whole cloth.'
So yes, you're absolutely correct.

Imagine living in the 1950's, driving your little deuce coupe hot-rod, dating (sane!) hot chicks - and then being transported to the present with teens into the 'green' Prius and girls dating girls while boys date boys.
Would you recognize your own country?
Or even if they're from the 1970's with a Trans Am T-Top or 1980's with a Buick Regal Grand National, there will be major differences. I'm only 42 and the world now seems upside down even when I compare it to the 1980's.

Good point.
It incubated with the 60's "sex revolution" and the "counter-culture" and matured (in the finance sense) with Clinton's BJ.
An actual quote from a pre-teen: "If it's good enough for the President (Bill Clinton), it's good enough for me."
Thanks Bill, for leaving us with the bill!

I live in the Denver area, so a lot of familiar places.
(His novel “Pallas” is maybe closer to what you proposed. Marxism area surrounded by free areas. UN mixed in, too.)

OK I admit I'm a "Trekker" as well as an "alternate history" junky. I've read this one book called "Guns of the South" by Harry Turtledove where time travelling neo-Nazis from South Africa went back in time from 2014 to 1864 to give the South AK-47's and help them win the Civil War so the neo-Nazis can mobe in and take over. Another story I read is a fanfic based on Steven Stirling's "Dominion of the Draka" series called
How I Damned The World" where a group goes back to the 1760's to lay the groundwork for a fascist, slave holding South Africa (Dominion of the Draka) to dominate the world.
That got me thinking except in my story, the time travellers are the good guys and their goal is to prevent the free love movement of the 1960's and the associated problems which leads to the world of today.

Imagine what would've happened had we stayed the course w/Vietnam and resolved it, arrested Hanoi Jane, and John Kerry had been put in his place by other soldiers?
If Timothy Leary hadn't discovered LSD?
If the government hadn't invented AIDs in order to wipe out blacks. Er, I mean, if the queer movement hadn't got any traction?
If Nancy Pelosi's family had never left Italy?
