That question has been answered multiple times in this thread.

I must have missed it. Where?

I’ve never stated that any witness saw 2 missle trails. Multiple witnesses saw missle trails. Interviewing the many witnesses produced 2 likely launch points.

It is well within the realm of probablity that a person who saw one missle would not see the other.

The seeker head on a stinger would not have the ability to distinguish between 4 seperate engine sources of a 747 at a range of 2 miles. As the missle closes closer to the heat sources, it chooses between on of the heat sources.

Re-read the thread. I don’t feel like pointing out the obvious to you.

I don't think you could if you wanted to. You all seem to think that the missile flew through the air, did a double somersault, and hit the plane from a different direction. Missiles don't work the way you seem to want them to.

Par for the course. You handle fits your analysis skills.

Most interesting is at approx. the 6:52 mark of that recording, where an airliner(flight 507)in the vicinity witnessed the explosion. He said he had noticed something that he thought to be landing lights, and he actually turned HIS on thinking it was some kind of avoidance message being sent by that aircraft...then the aircraft exploded. The only other oddity(from the CVR transcript)was the First Officer(I believe)of TWA 800 noticing a weird behavior from some fuel flow gauge(???).

Perhaps the erratic readings noticed by the FO/FE were caused by fuel line exposure to the flames near the tank, also perhaps flight 507 witnessed the "blow torch"(landing light)that eventually cut into the fuel tank. Who knows.

While there was still some daylight at the time of the incident it was pretty dark, because of that I still think any number of commercial/civilian aircraft in the air at the time would have seen something that resembled a missile if that were the case.

I'm about 70% convinced the NTSB/FBI got in right...in theory anyway. About 20% that it was something other than what they came up with(mechanical)...and about 10% that it was something set off inside the cabin above the center fuel tank.

“That’s because eye witnesses are quite often wrong. “

Eyewitnesses are most often accurate enough so that our legal system functions by use of witnesses testifying in courthouses throughout the country every day. The vehicle of cross-examination can be used to point out discrepancies or mistakes in testimony, but taking a broadbrush and discounting the value of eyewitness testimony to any event is foolhardy.

Making a statement and then barring any response because "you're busy" is a waste of bandwidth.

If you are not prepared to deal with the consequences of your actions perhaps you should wait to post until you are not so terribly busy.

If you are not prepared to deal with a response because you are right and there is no other perspective, in your opinion, you are exercising the same egalitarian approach as Obama.
