Cities and states can’t enact laws governing immigration. That’s the job of the federal government.

I'd really like to know where this is written in the US Constitution, shoot, where it is even codified in Federal law.

I spoke with a man running for sheriff in our town several days ago. He told me that 32% of the people in our county jail are illegal immigrants, and that 50% of them have no drivers licenses but were driving anyway.

That’s just the ones who are still in the jail, who have done something serious enough to keep them there. The “petty” criminals are allowed to bond out, without a check on their immigration status.

This guy is trying to work out arrangements to have the feds teach *all* the small towns in our area how to do the immigration checks at one time. Otherwise, there is a year and a half backup to get started on the classes. And they aren’t allowed to check anyone’s status until they have the training.

The real solution - one that would have an immediate impact - is to discredit politicians on this issue.

Go to public appearances, ask real questions, and upload their responses to Youtube. There are some questions here:

re: In Morgan City, La., Lenny Dartez, a former member of the state’s Democratic Party central committee and husband of former state representative Carla Dartez, faces up to five years in the pokey and up to $250,000 in fines for employing illegals from Trinidad at one of his companies. Citizen tips led to the arrests in all three of these case)))

Shun the employers of illegal aliens who have no loyalty to their own country.
Shun them, fine them large sums of money and put them in prison.

Good advise. There's nothing the MF'in judges can do about shunning.

Personally, I've banned products with spanish printed on the labels, as well. My little role in this war.

Joe Arpio is being sued for his actions despite the fact his people have had the Fed training.

I would gladly allow my taxes to be used to defend those kinds of cases. In fact, I would send an extra check, just to get things going.

We had a man call into a talk show yesterday. He said he used to support the illegals... felt sorry for them, they just wanted to earn a living etc... then he hired a couple to come and do some remodeling work in his house.

The day after they were done his house was broken into and robbed. After filing a police report he went to the day worker hangout area to find these guys. When he did, he got into their faces and said... “how did you like the stuff you took from my house?” He said the response was “you can’t do anything about it.”

Now he is the poster child for a liberal who has been mugged. Now he is a conservative.

Strange how that works, huh?
