Oh, for a good riposte.

Barack Obama's levity-free reaction to the now-famous New Yorker cartoon leaves one reluctantly wondering: Is he humor-challenged? Perchance, does he take himself too seriously for a nation of wits and wags?

So soaring has been Obama's rhetoric and so dazzling his smile that we've missed the possibility that the Illinois senator is less the lanky rock star and more the purse-lipped church lady, clucking his tongue in disapproval of the chuckling masses.

I see a gig on Saturday Night Live in his future, with some carefully crafted routines calibrated to suggest humor and humility without alluding to any controversial negatives. Maybe make light fun for his dislike of broccoli, or something.

His attempt at “letting down his hair” on “Ellen” was a bit of a disaster with the awkward dancing and lip-biting. He has a stilted way of attempting humor that falls flat. If some are trying to compare him with Ronaldus Magnus, humor is not a comparable - not even close.

The only funny thing I’ve heard Obama say was when he was making fun of Hillary! (the wife of the famous rapist)—”Now she’s Annie Oakley!”

You cannot criticize him or say anything negative about him because he’s Black. And, if you do, YOU’RE A RACIST!
