LAHORE, PAKISTAN (BosNewsLife)-- The body of a Christian teenager has been hauled out of a canal in Pakistan's second largest city Lahore after he was beaten to death there for courting a Muslim girl, BosNewsLife learned Friday, July 18.
The 19-year-old boy, whose name was changed into Peter for security reasons, was murdered by the girl's father and two uncles in what they described as an 'honour killing', Christian family members and investigators said.
Peter and the 19-year-old girl apparently began their relationship through mobile phone chatting, an increasingly popular way of communicating among youngsters across Asia.
Interfaith contacts and marriages between Christians and Muslims are allowed under Islamic law, but such relationships are often opposed by Islamic clerics and hard-line Muslims, according to religious rights investigators.
The troubles for Peter apparently began when the girl's family forced her to call him and invite the boy to a secluded location. Peter reportedly immediately hired a motorbike to reach the area, but he would not find his girlfriend. Instead, her father and two uncles awaited the boy and allegedly beat him to death.

"They took Peter by force. They trussed him and tortured him for almost two days. Peter could not bear the severity of the torture and died eventually," said Joseph Francis, who leads rights group Center for Legal Aid, Assistance and Settlement (CLAAS), which gives legal support to reportedly persecuted Christians in Pakistan. The Muslim family could not be reached for comment.
CLAAS lawyers say police have so far rejected to register the case as murder and are describing it as suicide. "The police were prejudiced, because it was a matter of religion," Francis added. CLAAS made clear it would try to seek justice for Peter's family in a local court.

I don’t understand. It is known that the muslins can do what they want in Pakistan, to anyone who is NOT a muslim.
Why aren’t the Christians more careful? I can understand a young guy thinking of his girl and going off to meet her, but did it NOT ever occur to him to play it safe? A secluded location? They both could have been killed if they had been caught. And the story of the two young girls that were raped and “converted.” Why was a 12 year old and a 10 year old going to an uncles house alone in a muslim city? It would be obvious that they WEREN’T committed muslims with no male with them. Maybe there is something I don’t understand. But the Christian community knows that they are targets and the police will do nothing to help them.
We are to live for Christ, but I don’t see where it is required to be unaware.

The second was the practice among religious families of sending their sons to study in Pakistan. This article illustrates what they were studying. Now, I read that American Muslims are sending their sons to Pakistan. It is commonly known that American Mosques are funded by the Saudis.

I don’t know if any of you believe in curses, but if the Christian family of “Peter” wanted to get even with his killers they should curse the family by “wishing that the Jews drop a bomb on their house”. I know for a fact that this curse works. I did it to a Lebanese man once and his families home in Lebanon got hit by Israel.

Saw this junk in a country far far away by New Guinea, near Indonesia, or so, if you are not muslim you are killed. And if I say that what I saw, the torture and the murders in the wrong crowd I'll be called a muslim hater, intolerant and such. Too bad, what they don't know, what they are being lied about will kill them; the front lines are filled of fear and Islamic hatred of "infidels." You do not have to be a vet, no, you just have to read, and listen. I have zero respect for their religion, yet I have great love for the muslim people being duped by their leaders; they need Jesus.
