Well over a million signed Newt’s. These petitions are useless. Congress ignores them.
Our Congress has a “Screw them” attitude towards us.
The good news is that during the summer recess Congress can’t screw anything else up (hopefully).
Most lib/dims ignore them. Don’t forget that amnesty attempt.
During the Middle Ages (not sure of EXACT date), a conclave was held to select the next Pope. After a year, there had been no decision. The people banded together and tore the roof off the building, exposing the cardinals within to the elements. Then they cut off all food and water.
Needless to say, a decision was reached rather quickly.
Perhaps, our august and imperial governors (not resentatives any more)need a dos of the same to let them know who’s really in charge.
The ONLY thing that MIGHT motivate the self-serving
in Congress is a new Constitutional amendment which directs
the American people to select, then publicly execute,
the worst of them each year.

Reminds me of former GE CEO Jack Welch’s approach. Every year, drop the 10% least profitable divisions.

While I of course agree with drilling, I’m getting annoyed by even the good guys casting the debate in “lift the ban” terms. The ban doesn’t need to be “lifted” because it expires on Sept 30 on its own. The proper way to cast the debate is “Tell the d@mn donks not to renew the ban!”
The way a debate is cast can have a significant impact on its outcome. Lets start pushing for it to be cast in the proper way!
