Finally, Barack Obama's campaign has settled on a site for his Berlin speech. But some German politicians have now criticized his choice as being one full of Nazi-related symbolism.
Barack Obama will hold his speech at the Siegessäule monument in the heart of the city, according to an announcement made by his campaign office in Chicago on Sunday. In his speech, he will speak about the "historic US-German partnership" and about the importance of strengthening trans-Atlantic relations, according to his campaign team.
Still, even as the issue of his speech's location has now been settled, a number of politicians in Berlin are still dissatisfied with the site. The Siegessäule -- or Victory Column -- was erected in memory of Prussia's victories over Denmark (1864), Austria (1866) and France (1870/71). The column originally stood in front of the Reichstag, Germany's parliament building, but was moved by Adolf Hitler to its current location in 1939 to make way for his planned transformation of Berlin into the Nazi capital "Germania."
"The Siegessäule in Berlin was moved to where it is now by Adolf Hitler. He saw it as a symbol of German superiority and of the victorious wars against Denmark, Austria and France," the deputy leader of the Free Democrats, Rainer Brüderle, told Bild am Sonntag. He raised the question as to "whether Barack Obama was advised correctly in his choice of the Siegessäule as the site to hold a speech on his vision for a more cooperative world."
Andreas Schockenhoff of Chancellor Angela Merkel's Christian Democrats said, "the Siegessäule in Berlin is dedicated to a victory over neighbors who are today our European friends and allies. It is a problematic symbol."

Either that or the "Messiah" is getting ready to announce that he is indeed Christ returned, and will soon be claiming the throne of his "church" in Rome.
It will be interesting to see if it ends with a series of "zig Hi" salutes with millions of Germans standing in the square returning the salute.
I'm still waiting for his media puppets to report all the "facts" he's finding on this fact finding tour. So far all I see is "Obama is lord" cheering and photo ops.

Interesting site. People need to be made aware that Obama’s enviromental policies are taken directly from these Hitlers Nazi policies, that Hitler\ and Obama’s socialist societal dreams are one and the same.
This mindset is already here in America. One of my coworkers made a statement the other day that floored me. She said that she already considered Obama to be the president, and that the upcoming election is just ceremonial; it's a done deal.
She began to list all of the utopian things that Obama is going to do -- it was delusional, and she was as serious as a heart attack. He truly is Obamessiah in her mind.

I disagree. I believe that Obama is a messianic fascist dictator in the making. A close examination of Obama's role in the Kenyan election, where Dick Morris was Rial Odinga's advisor, the use of black power natyionalism in a neocolonial fashion in a country with very stauch tribal polics, the purposeful destabilization of Kenyan society, the subsequent riots and inter tibal genocide, ALL point to the budding fascist character of Obama.

I am sure that Obama got the idea for giving his acceptance speech in the stadium in Denver from images of popes speaking to stadiums full of people.
One funny thing, he has not clinched his nomination yet officially. I guess all the superdelegates have been told how they are going to vote on the day!!! In true union fashion, the bosses know best!!!! The rank and file must obey or else....!

Since the Nazis controlled all of Germany and used every foot of it, one way or another, the only way that a site in Germany could be free of Nazi contamination would be if it was built after WWII.
Its perfectly appropriate for someone who has advocated a Gestapo-like security force for the US.
