MILITARY leaders from China and Australia met in Beijing yesterday to exchange views on international and regional security issues at the 11th Strategic Defense Consultation.
Chen Bingde, chief of the General Staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, chaired the consultation, which he said had played an active role in promoting mutual understanding since the talks began in 1997.
