New details in possible cancer-cure from Sanibel man (Kanzius Machine Update)

FORT MYERS, Fla. - A WINK News exclusive: new details in the possible cure for cancer.

On Sunday night, "60 Minutes" re-broadcast their profile of Sanibel resident John Kanzius, which originally aired in April.

WINK News talked with John Kanzius Sunday night over the phone. In the conversation, we learned this is just the beginning, and some incredible advancements have been made in the past few months.

"That piece was shot in January. The research is so far ahead that piece I look at it in amazement," John Kanzius said.

John Kanzius is part-time Sanibel resident. He suffers from leukemia and despite having no medical background or college degree, he has made it his personal mission to fight cancer and help others.

WINK News has been there, along for the ride, following Kanzius' medical research.

Using a machine he built in his garage, Kanzius discovered a way to harness radio waves to target and destroy cancer cells.

His invention caught the eye of some of the top cancer researchers in the world, who are now testing the approach in animals.

Kanzius told us in April, the first round of testing had been hugely successful, destroying all cancer cells in a matter of seconds; leaving healthy cells intact with no side effects.

"Right now we have proved beyond a reasonable doubt that the process works, that the nannoparticles within the cancer cells release so much heat so quickly that the cancer cells die almost instantaneously," Kanzius said about the testing.

Now human trials are about to get underway, including here Fort Myers.

Lee Memorial is one of only five sites chosen worldwide to conduct the testing.

Kanzius sent us pictures of his machine modified for human testing.

"That particular medical device... it targets every cancer cell in the blood stream... or migrated to another organ," Kanzius said.

Kanzius and researchers initially believed human trials for the breakthrough cancer treatment would begin in 2 and a half to three years.

Now Kanzius tells us they may begin much earlier, possibly in just a year or two.

For more details about Kanzius' research go to: www.kanziuscancerresearch.

A very modest man, too.

Those radio guys were real pioneers.

I saw the show last night. I wonder why this machine’s capabilities haven’t become common knowledge. Guess we don’t have the whole story.

It ought to be called the Kanzius Cancer Killer.

I am flabbergasted that a guy in his garage thought of this idea first.

I never would have thought of doing it, because I would have assumed the “experts” would have already explored such an approach.

What the heck are cancer researchers doing with all those donations to find a cure, anyway?

It is really a simple concept. I has been known for decades that RF waves will excite molecules of different sizes depending on their size. For example, the 2500 MHz of your microwave oven is roughly the frequency that will excite water, fat and sugar molecules but will pass harmlessly through certain plastics and glass.

It only took a guy who put the use of medical nano-technology together with microwaves to invent a device that heats cancer cells and passes harmlessly through healthy cells. It was a stroke of genius.

Personally, I am working on a “glue” to allow orthopedic surgeons to reconstruct a shattered bone with a glue that will hold it together while it heals.

An Israeli firm has already done it. Google - Gelrin Technion.

FDA approval is in process, if not completed. It's been done on a few folks in the states, on a trial basis, with very good results.

It's brilliant.. I'm just curious why it isn't headline news if it truly is killing cancer off and saving the lives of everyone with cancer.

Great idea..That would be great not needing a cast or splint! Good Luck with it!

Some of his claims are 1000% outrageous. I’ve had what is referred to as RFA. That is Radio Frequency Ablation. It is a minor minimally intrusive procedure where you are out of the hospital in a matter of hours in most cases.

This dude is exaggerating his claims tremendously unless he’s found some way to bond theses nanotubes to the actual Cancer cell to the 100% exclusion of all healthy tissue. If he is to claim that his machine can irradiate the whole body, then he has a magnetron on the scale of a Continuous Wave Illuminating Radar. (CWIR).

For all of you who have cancer and see this as the Magic Bullet, I am sorry to dash your hopes. There may wind up being some miniscule application for this invention, but It will NOT cure cancer. It is just nothing more than another arrow in the repertoire Of Radiation, Chemotherapy, Radiation Therapy, and Surgery that all work together to TREAT cancer for long high quality of lift.

When I was diagnosed as Colon Cancer metastasized to Stage 4 Liver cancer it was expected that I had a total of 2 years and 3 months. That was almost 6 years ago and I just took a new job with a large telecommunications firm at age 64. The biggest weapon in fighting cancer is HOPE and spend my time planning on how to live rather than worrying about when I’m going to die.

Beware of Charlatans.

It will never work as a cancer killer as he says. See my earlier posts on this thread. The problem with the over hype in situations like this is that it gives false hope to desperate people,

Actually< I don’t think it would replace a cast. What I am looking to replace is cumbersome stainless steel plates and screws and external traction devices.

Hey ‘noname’ perhaps you should change your name to ‘wet blanket’.

Apparently you are trying to shut down the discussion on this thread.

As usual 60 Minutes didn't challenge him and lead their viewers to believe it's a miracle cure.

You are proof that 99% of the cure.. is Attitude. If we all had that attitude to begin with.. a lot fewer of us would get sick. It's a Pleasure to have you here! :)

Trying to bring reality to the thread. That was a repeat of a discussion from April. There was no new news and it is still closer to what I wrote than what was reported on the faux news. I am a firm believer in HOPE; but not false hope. This technology is going nowhere.

I work with people who have just gotten the word that they have joined my big “C” world. I warn them on believing everything the read see or hear. A great majority of the folks I come in contact with in this capacity are ready to pin their hopes and anything. I caution them that if it sounds too good to be true and it is discovered by someone without any scientific background, then take the news with a ton, not a grain of salt. According to Schwitzer Health (http://blog.lib.umn.edu/schwitz/healthnews/123450.html) “The segment is likely to raise hopes, clearly prematurely if not falsely, of millions of people affected by cancer, or even cancer risk. This is the opposite of public service. “ This was in response to the April airing of the same report.

A lot of these folks will have their hopes raised and then when they find out that their hopes were based on a false foundation they crash really a lot lower than where they started.

I urge you to do everything you possibly can to stop this obvious scam before it gets to human trials! Please do it now before it goes any further!
