The world has spent $50 billion on global warming since 1990, and we have not found any actual evidence that carbon emissions cause global warming. Evidence consists of observations made by someone at some time that supports the idea that carbon emissions cause global warming. Computer models and theoretical calculations are not evidence, they are just theory.
What is going to happen over the next decade as global temperatures continue not to rise? The Labor Government is about to deliberately wreck the economy in order to reduce carbon emissions. If the reasons later turn out to be bogus, the electorate is not going to re-elect a Labor government for a long time. When it comes to light that the carbon scare was known to be bogus in 2008, the ALP is going to be regarded as criminally negligent or ideologically stupid for not having seen through it. And if the Liberals support the general thrust of their actions, they will be seen likewise.
And he'll never get another "grant" in his natural lifetime...

I hope so. But in the meantime, a "Labor government", and liberals in general pushing this, can do a lot of damage that will require much more than merely un-electing them to fix it.

He scares the kids and their parents to death and then says ‘buy my windmills to save the world.’ Any other ‘preacher’ trying to make money off this extortive fear of global warming would be tarred and feather - but Gore gets a free pass. He is looking more like Elmer Gantry every day.

Therefore Temperature is not a function of CO2 the realionship is inverse.

All Decaying things that are carbon based give off CO2.
A decaying leaf gives off the same amount of CO2 as a leaf that is burnt. The only difference is the rate of release and burning provides something useful...energy!
Leaves rotting on the ground account for more CO2 output that all the cars and factory’s in the world. And it happens every fall. Think of the huge masses of decaying plant matter on this planet.

Only the so called "scientists" at the UN who just happen to be pushing for this global governance and transfer of wealth scam, many of which aren't even climatologists. They skewed the report in the first place, ignoring what real scientists who wrote the report had said, which was there was no conclusive evidence that Carbon dioxide caused "global warming" much less the tiny amount made by humans.
Of course MSM, owned by the elitist who are no doubt members of the club, will not allow these scientists any opportunity to correct the LIE the UN and certain Liberal governments/ members are propagating all over the western world.

Yes, he’s probably being self-deprecating but I must say I find his qualifications pretty impressive. The print version of the article showed that he had a BSc, BE-EE, MA(Sydney), MS-EE, MS-Stat, PhD EE (Stanford).

The onus should be on those who want to change things to provide evidence for why the changes are necessary. The Australian public is eventually going to have to be told the evidence anyway, so it might as well be told before wrecking the economy.

That's normal operation in the realm of politics. First of all, politicians are trained to speak ambiguously and vote for something and then against it. This way they can always say that they supported X or were against X, whatever is most convenient. We laugh at their voting patterns and call them idiots, but they laugh at us and call us idiots too, and my fear is that they are right.
Secondly, they can rewrite the history, it's easy because the modern society has attention span of 3 minutes, and can believe in any ridiculous thing as long as The Figure of Authority says it (such as a newspaper or a TV station.) There is very little history preserved even if you specifically look for it; but if you just want to Google something you can come up with any amount of fake data; Wikipedia suffered quite a few forgeries, for example. With more and more print media dying, all our news are coming from the "live wire" and it is archived ... nowhere. If you want an example from 20th century (not even from 0th!) just have a look at the Holocaust "controversy", with "opinions from both sides" - the history is being rewritten in front of our eyes.
