As part of a month-long aircraft makeover, a painted American flag was removed from the tail of Sen. Barack Obama's official campaign airplane and was replaced with the presidential candidate's trademark "O" symbol.
The refurbished 757 was unveiled to members of the news media today, 41 of whom boarded the craft and took off to meet Obama in Amman, Jordan, where the presidential candidate will stop as part of a Middle Eastern and European tour.
Obama traveled to the Mideast earlier this week on board a separate airplane.
Fox News blogger Bonny Kapp, traveling on Obama's new airplane, reported:
"The North American jet that flew Obama and his traveling crew around for much of the primary season was refurbished with new seats and power for each passenger a must on the campaign trail. And the plane that once had an American flag on its tail now sports the Obama 'O.'"

Honestly the “Big O” symbol (with apologies to the great Victor Buono, who will ALWAYS be the true and only Big O) looks like the flag being flushed down the toilet.

First, isn’t it a Federal law that all American registered planes and ships must have the US flag on them?
Next, this is the sign of an overconfident, arrogant campaign that has idea how to spend campaign funds wisely. This had to have cost several million in increased lease payments. Think of all the bogus commercials this money could have purchased.
Finally, I guess he will have to get an even larger American Flag pin for his lapel to make up for this glaring omission.
An appropriate metaphor if he is elected President.
A month-long makeover for the aircraft? I think Iron Maiden had Ed Force One ready and finished in a few weeks. That includes taking out the seats in the rear half of the plane for all of their gear.
The hubris of this jackass is despicable.

We are, after all, an Oppressive Empire, similar to the British Empire that the colonists declared independence from in 1776. Obama’s recent speech in which he talked about the oppressive empire and the “bomb” that fell on Pearl Harbor made me think that Obama was really thinking about how awful the USA is and always has been. I don’t know why I think he thinks that . . .

First he won’t wear the flag pin, then he wouldn’t place his hand on his heart and now he’s just proved to the world that he’s still got a problem with the American flag. I’m going to send this to everyone that I know on line. It needs to get out. This is more of Rev Wright’s hate America teaching. Obama and his angry wife hate America, and they just can’t help but show contempt for a country that they hate!!

Rush is right,”This guy is a jerk, an arrogant jerk. A Jerk Messiah.” He also keeps making remarks like, “when I’m POTUS” and “ leaders who I expect to be dealing with over the next 8 to 10 years”. Not only does he and the media act like he has already won, he has also been pompous enough not to cover his heart during the pledge, used to be above wearing a flag pin (until he worried it was hurting his political ambitions), has changed the the Presidential seal, and he has now taken the flag off his plane. Of course, don’t forget his elitist, “messiah” attitude.
I can’t recall a logo like this. If they did, they certainly didn’t have it plastered everywhere like Obama. It seems to me that most Presidential candidates usually just have a red, white, and blue sign with a flag.
Now that it’s been pointed out, I can see what you are talking about regarding the flag being flushed down the toilet. Creepy.
The stripes remind me of the “amber waves of grain” representing this wounderful nation.

Susan Rice, Obama’s senior foreign policy advisor, informed the German news magazine Der Spiegel in an interview published today that her candidate “bows to nobody in understanding this world.”
Rice prefaced this conceit by relating his world travels: “Senator Obama has travelled to Europe, Africa, the Middle East and South Asia many times before. He lived in Asia.”
This evening ABC News Nightline will broadcast an interview with Obama conducted after he met with Iraqi Prime Minister Maliki and Gen. Petraeus today in Iraq.
Obama’s arrogance shone through as he dismissed Petraeus’ concerns about Obama’s plans for Iraq:
“My job is to think about the national security interests as a whole and to weigh and balance risks in Afghanistan and Iraq. Their job is just to get the job done here, and I completely understand that.”
Obama, in his arrogance, failed to recognize that Petraeus, having recently been promoted to head up Centcom, which oversees both Iraq and Afghanistan, would also be looking at Iraq from the same perspective.
I forced myself to view Nightline on ABC (blecchh) tonight with Terry Moran questioning Obambi in Iraq. I tried hard not to count the uhs and ahs and ums peppered throughout Obama’s responses, which also contained so many pauses as to make one nearly drift off to sleep.
Aside from that, what the Obamessiah did say to Moran was nothing short of astounding in its total arrogance. I could not believe what I was hearing from his (grinning like an idiot) mouth and even Moran seemed genuinely surprised at times.
I also noticed a distinct “deer in the headlights” look on Obama’s face while Moran was questioning him. I could only imagine what Hillary Clinton must’ve been thinking if she saw the interview. (Honestly, if I had to choose between Hillary and Obama, Hillary would win my vote in a heartbeat.)
This Obama charlatan, enjoying the heck out of his current “world tour,” is no one we should want in the White House —and it’s absolutely frightening to think this may well come to pass. Whatever you folks think of McCain, please think carefully before deciding to pass on voting this year.
