A surrogate for John McCain made a leftward feint on a campaign conference call today, suggesting that the presumptive Republican nominee might pull troops out of Iraq sooner than Barack Obama.

"He’d like troops to come home earlier than 16 months if the conditions allow it," Rep. Heather Wilson, (R-New Mexico), said of McCain.

“”He’d like troops to come home earlier than 16 months if the conditions allow it,””

Good. Not sure how this is supposed to disparage McCain. I think everyone wants our troops home as long as things are stable.

That's quite possible.

With McCain in charge, the terrorists might just finally give up.

With The Poser in charge, they'd think that if they turn up the heat Barack would hit the exit even faster, except that he won't be able to.

Yes, IF THE CONDITIONS allow it. That’s the friggin difference, isn’t it? Obama wanted total withdrawal at any time without any precondition, it’s called surrender! Bush/McCain want a phased drawdown of combat troops, if security improves and the Iraqis take over, with some US troops remaining as strategic back up in bases! IT’S CALLED VICTORY!

It’s already happening behind the scenes. Don’t you love it when the troops become political pawns for these two bozos?

I read that Right after the illegals pull out of Mexico. I've got to tell you, that was pretty funny.

Yes. With a few exceptions, Democrats got us into every war of the twentieth century.

Better to avoid a war by standing strong than to provoke a war by looking soft.
