London: A British mom has managed to retain her size zero figure despite giving birth to 13 kids, with the 14th on its way.
The 37-year-old Joanne Watson, in her first trimester, loves being pregnant and always manages to get back her 7st 5lbs ideal weight after giving birth.
"I''m lucky because I always sail through my pregnancies and have no symptoms whatsoever at the moment," Mirror quoted her as saying. Joanne, who is 5ft 2ins, said: "Some people say I'm mad. But we're as thrilled that we're expecting for the 14th time as we were the first time.
"Some say surely this will be the last. But I always say we'll stop having kids when we're good and ready. And I'm nowhere near ready to retire my maternity clothes yet," she added.
Truck driver husband John, 43 considers himself lucky to have a healthy brood and a size zero wife. "To have so many healthy happy children, and a wife who has such a fabulous figure, is amazing, he said. "I feel like I''m the luckiest daddy in the world. I love going home after a day's work to a big family, he added.
The family already has 10 daughters and three sons.

My maternal grandmother got married at 16, and had 10 kids in the next twenty years and died at 36. She was also VERY skinny. Most likely a size 0, judging from photos of her. Skin and bones. I was super skinny when I had three kids in three years. Takes all your calories to keep up with them. I still don’t advise it as diet control! LOL Her kids are beautiful. My daughter is 25 and still has natural platinum blonde like that, she is a GeoScientist in Austin Texas, and smart as she is beautiful!

Our sofa is white, too, and spotless. How to keep it clean, make rules. Kids were NO allowed to sit on it if they were dirty. And no shoes or dirty feet on it. It works! They also take their shoes off when they come in. They are NOT perfect, but whatever you INSIST on, they do. Like they know my number one rule here NO TATTOOS. Even tho my kids are now 24, 25 27 they KNOW, NO tattoos!

I wonder what the British health service has to say about her! Ha! Anyway, I like big families. 14 would make a great home school, too. We’re done, I guess with our seven. Our son married a gal who is one of eight children.

I sailed through pregnancies, too. Never had morning sickness. Have NO idea what that is!!! Had them all naturally and FAST. Had our daughter in 49 MINUTES! BOOM! She came so fast! They were all easy pregnancies and deliveries. And I was way to skinny back then. THE GOOD OLD DAYS! My doctor told me I was “built for having babies” and could easily have a 10 or 12 pound baby, that I should have babies for women who have difficult pregnancies.
NO WAY! not me

They will get child benefit, yes.
* £17.45 a week for the eldest child
* £11.70 a week for each additional child
So this family are making ~ $316 a week in benefits if I have my numbers right.

What amazes me are the women who had this many children a hundred years ago. In addition to having the kids, taking care of the kids...cooking everyday from scratch ...washing clothes everyday by hand....No air conditioning...no medical treatments other than natural stuff...

Right...you’ve got facts to back that up, huh?
Truth is, people can live on a LOT less than you’d think, especially if mom is cooking from scratch, everyone wears hand-me-downs and plays with hand-me-down toys, and no one drives all that much. It requires a great deal of sacrifice, of course, but it can be done.
To: farlander
And your proof backing up that assertion? Links?
Nope, didn't think so.

Its called welfare. The state pays for all the kids Im sure.
That is the most ignorant post I have seen today. Without a shred of evidence, you assume they are on welfare. In my church there are families with that number of children and darn near it. (Two have 13, two others have 12, a number have 8 or 9). Their incomes vary widely, and none are on welfare. Food is usually the least of the problems. It costs less to make spaghetti and sauce for 13 kids than it does to provide two with a "Happy Meal", big families like this one tend to be problem solvers. They buy clothes from thift stores, sometimes grow their own vegetables, and do without the latest gizmos and cable tv. Also, some truckers work over time to earn extra money. Conservatives suffer enough from false assumptions about how they live. This family did nothing to earn your insult.

Like my grandma, had ten kids in twenty years, 8 of them lived to be adults. They didn't even have indoor plumbing or electricity! They worked the fields, picked cotton, had their own chickens for eggs and meat. Dried their own meats. Whatever they didn't sell, fruits and veggies, they canned for themselves, the over ripe stuff that didn't sell. They were all so healthy, except Grandma, who died at 36. She refused to go to a doctor and hemorrhaged after baby #10.

Oh, but you’re thinking in modern terms, where the kids are just freeloading off their parents until they move out to freeload off the gov’t.
“A hundred years ago” every child was another helping set of hands in the business called “family” (once they were old enough to help).
