New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson (D) said Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) is "overreacting" and "whining" in response to The New York Times refusing to run his editorial about Iraq.
Richardson, who supports Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) for president, said in an interview on Fox News on Tuesday that the rejection of McCain's editorial is not surprising because The New York Times turns down many editorials from politicians, including presidential candidates.
"Well, look, The New York Times is very fussy. I mean, I've sent many editorials that they've rejected in fact, most of them," Richardson said.

Stop whining about the New Yorker magazine cover...tell your boy Richardsom.
And you think there might be BIAS ?????
B.O. has three networks news anchors following him around on his world tour...fancy that.
And, B.O. disses our troops giving them no credit in Iraq.

Notice how everytime McCain says anything negative about anything another little Democrat is trotted out to accuse him of whining?
Couple weeks ago it was Jim “mini-Murtha” Webb, and now it’s Richardson.
Just like clockwork...

If Mr. Richardson feels that he was treated unfairly by a major publication in his presidential primary run, perhaps he should take it up with the FEC about this “contribution” of page space and determine what the page rate is for an ad that size.

Was Richardson ever a Pres. candidate chosen by the DNC?
I think not.
He is, however, many fries short of "happy meal".

Governor Richardson should shave his face. Secondly, McCain is running for the highest office in the land... his editorial should be printed no matter what...typical ugly democrat response.

Hey Richardson, did you ever find Monica a job?
I just wondered if an Ambassador to the U.N. who worked as a glorified taxi cab driver at the insistence of Bill Clinton, was worth more than a piece of shiite or not. Actually, there wasn’t any doubt about that in my mind.
You’re not.

Richardson is acting like a complete ass. Whatever his submissions to the Times might have been, this was a case of a major newspaper giving the putative nominee from the Dems. space for an editorial, then refusing the same for the Republican on very flimsy ground. Light years away from any situation Richardson might have had with the Times.

All this from a guy who might have been the model for the little fat Pillsbury Dough Boy.
Billy has to face facts that he would support Eliot Laurence Spitzer if he thought it would give the left wing radicals power over America..... oops he did speak out defending the pervert.

Bill Richardson was on Fox telling the Friends this morning that there was NO bias with the NY Times...the Times had every right to reject a politician’s op-ed piece. Gretchen saidoh come on, Governor! Bill (in a whining tone) saidI don’t know why he’s whining about this. GretchenMaybe because half of Americans are whining about this! Good job, Gretchen.

Maybe if Richardson wouldn’t make his submissions in crayon he might stand a better chance of getting published. I don’t know, just a suggestion.

I saw snarling Richardson on the early news this morning - he could not have been more negative and crude - I used to think of him as a friendly guy - but he has changed.
Could be the added weight? Looks like he might explode any day now.
To: rabscuttle385
Well, look, The New York Times is very fussy. I mean, I've sent many editorials that they've rejected in fact, most of them," Richardson said. Some of Richardson's articles:
"Chinese: We will never allow them to spy on our nuke secrets"
"Los Alamos - How I made it the most secure facility in the world!"
"How I personally keep our nuke secrets on a hard drive safe!"
"Bill Clinton - If he's guilty, then I'm incompetent!"

Notice how everytime McCain says anything negative about anything another little Democrat is trotted out to accuse him of whining?Yep. They're definitely trying to plant the thin-skin, overreaction meme. I'm sure it annoys Democrats that McCain hasn't reacted, much less overreacted, to anything. But hey, why let that interfere with communications plans? After all, it's the accusation that matters.

Look at it from this point of view, if it’s in the NYT no one is going to read it cause their circulation is in the toilet.

Unfortunately for the NYT’s since they passed on the editorial, more people in the entire world read it on Drudge. And they wonder what is wrong with news print these days. They effectively offended most republicans and if I subscribed from them, I would cancel. Serves them right.
