A GOP CIVIL WAR; LOSES SENATE TASKS OVER 'GOV. GIULIANI' BUZZ (Rudy failed to deliver $$)
NY POST ^ | 7/23/08 | By FREDRIC U. DICKER in Albany and MAGGIE HABERMAN in NY

Posted on 07/23/2008 5:35:34 AM PDT by Liz

Matthew Mahoney, $30,000-a-month executive director of the Senate Republican Campaign Commmittee and one-time head of Giuliani's presidential field operations was relieved of overall responsibility for the NY Senate's GOP campaign and told to concentrate on fund-raising and administrative chores....(rather than pushing the ex-mayor for governor). The demotion was also tied to Giuliani's failure to deliver on pledges to raise substantial amounts of cash for Republican efforts to hold the Senate. Giuliani was supposed to announce the creation of a fund-raising committee to collect cash for the Senate GOP, which some believe is designed to bolster the ex-mayor should he run for governor. "Frankly, he [Mahoney] doesn't know what the f- - - is going on around the rest of the state, outside of NYC," a senior GOP operative told The Post. "He's been busy doing the Rudy stuff.................

Rudy's cocamamie campaign strategy (AKA "Kick Conservatives To The Curb") is historic as the worst presidential strategy ever wrought. Rooty fiercely competed in all the early primary/caucus states while publicly stating he wasn't going to b/c of the dreaded so/cons lurking in grassroots states. In the end, Rooty spent a whopping $60 million (much more than Huckabee's $7 mill) and Rooty got only one delegate for his time and trouble.

In Fla, he was banking on votes of liberal NYC transplants---Rooty campaigned there 61 days straight and came in a distant third. Seems the more voters saw and heard him, the less they wanted to vote for him.

Giulie's WIFE was a BIG reason he lost--even blase liberal New Yorkers RECOILED at the sight of her. Her first campaign speech started his troubles---at a fund-raiser she rambled on and on about "dating" Rooty (while onlookers winced b/c he was married at the time). Everytime she surfaced, voters were reminded the Mayor married an adulteress home-wrecker. Mayor Rudy paraded her around NYC even as he tried to dump his wife and kids out of Gracie Mansion to move the bimbo in.

During the campaign it was discovered Rudy was using city funds to subsidize his mistress and hiding the costs in obscure city agencies.........usually known as government fraud.

$30,000-a-month executive director of the Senate Republican Campaign Commmittee

Uhhhh... I would say that's the first problem. Talk about the Republican't party losing touch with the common man...

Julie-Annie is the gift that keeps on taking. Guess what Julie — CONSERVATIVES.... we’re here, we’re what you fear, get used to it.

RINOs... you can’t wish us away. And we’ve got the best ideas for America. Wise up.

I will say this - Rudy made McCain's win possible. The changes in the NY and NJ primaries to winner-take-all that Rudy pushed to enhance his chances gave McCain a huge win in those states after Rudy dropped out and gave him a lead that couldn't be surmounted by the others.

After 2008, conservatives need to try and get those states changed back to proportional, or else we will just get another RINO next time around.

I call 'em as I see 'em.

This guy DOES NOT WANT to be liked by conservatives.

Happy to oblige the RINO.

This story is a sure sign that America’s Mayor is running FROM office, not For office. It’s also indicative of just how moribund NY’s Republican Party is. NY desperately needs its own Bobby Jindal.

So how long before the DNC’s MSM propaganda branch starts pushing Rino Rudy as the running mate for McNuts?

Rudy should have ran in 06 and spared the state Spitzer and Patterson.

I would like to know if those pictures of him in alternative dress were related to any Premium Events.

::shrugs::

We have threads here about Giuliani’s associates being involved in the sex tour industry.

Premium Events was too.

When we were posting the pictures while he was running for office, people posted back that Giuliani was dressed like that for a fundraiser.

Premium Events books for fund raisers.

The money was laundered through campaign activisms.

But, I’m just speculating.

That's the best news I've heard all day.
