CBS Frets Obama Can't Escape 'Hussein' Middle Name in Israel

The Wednesday CBS Evening News story on Barack Obama's day in Israel presumed Jewish concerns about his commitment to Israel are unreasonable as reporter Sheila MacVicar empathized with Obama's plight while she fretted about how an Israeli newspaper columnist “referred to him by his full name: Barack Hussein Obama.” After noting that Obama “did spend an hour with the Palestinian President, something John McCain did not do on his trip here,” MacVicar stressed the “the focus of the day was to try to reassure Jewish voters who are suspicious of him.” From Jerusalem, she then held up a copy of the newspaper as she rued:

It's an uphill battle. An example? A commentator writing in this morning's Israeli Ha'aretz newspaper referred to him by his full name: Barack Hussein Obama, talked about his Muslim stepfather, his childhood in Indonesia, his openness to dialogue with Iran as real sources of anxiety for both the Israeli establishment and American Jewish voters.

MacVicar concluded by bemoaning: “However unfair it may be, it will take more than this trip to alter the very deeply held perception of some that on Israel the Senator is not to be trusted.”

Sheila MacVicar is notorious for her anti-Israel reporting. At the time of the conflict around Jenin, when Arabs were reporting a massacre, she sought out Palestinians and reported their tales verbatim, without doing any checking. Later, many of these tales were proven to be fake and a UN investigation absolved Israel of any “massacre.”

The stupidest part about this whole ‘Hussein’ middle name controversy is that if the idiot had just admitted it in the first place and not tried to run and hide from it, he’d be a lot better off. Most people would agree that no, he didn’t choose it, so its really not something to hold against him.

However, the second that he ran from it, it gave legitimacy to the notion that there was something more there than just a middle name, that the name Hussein held some significance beyond the obvious. In other words...this is HIS OWN FAULT.

Well, certainly one of the most popular Muslim names going today - so a whole lot of people around the world, including France are happy.

Making a Muslim happy; should certainly please CBS and there is probably more than a few Hussein's right here at home who are very happy.

(And with Obama's rising star; more Barack Hussein - and Obama's everyday. Or; by their custom; maybe it is Obama bin Barack? Thought I read somewhere that 'Hussein' IS a Muslim name; no matter where you are born and not a Christian(Arab) name as team Obama made the diluted claim for.)

That said, European's probably are a bit more correct/formal about names, than we are. After all; they can speak English and we can only say 'Merci Beauceaup'. And of course, we can only be 'politically correct'.

Well, I thought he DID choose it, that his name was "Barry Dunham" and not Barack Dunham. His parents were probably not married in the sense of a certificate (his Mom was pregnant before they "married"). Barack Senior was a Muslim and he didn't need a marriage certificate to claim marriage to Stanley Ann Dunham, did he? Not in Islam. And as far as the Divorce is concerned, all Barack Senior had to do is state "I divorce you" three times for the divorce to be official in Islam.

Was Stanley Ann Dunham truly Married (in the USofA sense of the term) to Lolo Soetoro or was that another Islamic Marriage? And why did Lolo register Barry in both Primary Schools in Jakarta, Indonesia, as Barry Soetoro, Indonesian Citizen, Religion Islam? Is it possible that Barry has the dates and times of his life confused and that he was born in Indonesia and not Hawaii?

Barack Hussein (Muhammad-omitted) Obama "Jr" is not on the FRAUDULENT birth certificate. It lists his name as Barack Hussein Obama II. Where did the II change to Junior and where's the "Muhammad" part of his name on the Fraudulent Birth Certificate?

There's a LOT more of this than we have been able to ferret out. We need a good Jack Russell Terrier (aka Terrior) or a Dachshund to ferret out the 'rats who are not being truthful.

Hussein IS a Muslim name & I've never met a Christian who had that name. I've met one Jew with that name who was given it simply because his parents liked it & at its core it's just an Arabic name (endearing form of Hasan, which means handsome), I guess. But still, very Muslim name.
