Most showe up for the free concert. Probably smoking pot and listening to the reggae band whilst waiting for Obama. Watch for stoned, red eyed germans on the evening news.
I cannot imagine driving to a crowded public venue and waiting to see a German candidate for public office, visiting here in the US.

I'm reminded how the media gushed over Obama's speech back in Philidelphia about Rev. Wright. This was before he threw him under the bus (TUB). At the time, the media compared the speech to Lincoln's Gettysburg address. I can't remember a single line from that speech.
There is nothing memorable in this speech either. "Ich bin ien apologist".

If they are only reporting 100,000 figure it to be around 20,000 - 25,000 actual.
They claimed 70,000 in Oregon in a space that couldn't hold 30,000 unless you had serious crush injuries.
Organizers always hype the attendance because they think they can't be challenged. For instance, The Rose Bowl Parade claims every year to have a crowd of one million. That is preposterous, it would require crowds 32 deep along both sides of the entire route. That clearly isn't the case, and there isn't even the physical space to achieve such a crowd.
The Fiesta Bowl parade in Phoenix is even worse. Official attendance figures released by the Bowl Committee and the City claim 400,000. The actual (photo documented) attendance was about 15,000. - Big Difference!

Here is how we Freepers can do a sanity check on the crowd numbers.
Look at the media coverage and try to determine the area occupied by the crowd.
Find the area on Google Earth and zoom in.
Use the ruler feature in Google Earth to measure the square footage occupied by the crowd, you may find it easier to break up an irregular shape into a number of triangles and rectangles then add the square footage together.
You can figure that one person standing up requires about 4 square feet of floor space to not feel crowded (two feet shoulder to shoulder, and and about the same requirement front to rear to give breathing room and viewing space) so divide the square footage you have measured by four and you have a rough estimate of the crowd.
I am really getting offended by some one our side throwing the holy word Messiah in such a stupid way to make a political point even though they intend it as a joke. The problem is that it is not good to joke with the holy word Messiah.
It doesn’t really matter that only 100,000 showed up. Millions wanted to be there, but couldn’t. That’s what matters.
