Russia will supply to Iran advanced anti-aircraft systems by the end of 2008 or early 2009, Reuters reported with reference to a source with Israel's Ministry of Defense.

According to the source, Russia will supply advanced S-300 anti-aircraft systems to Iran. The delivery of first consignment has been slated for September, but deploying and making the systems operable will take from six to 12 months...

Those S-300s didn’t seem to bother Israel much when they took out the Syrian nuclear sight.

I believe they were in Syria, when Israel took that sight out. Russia made some comments about the S-400s being a much more capable missile right after that.

So now Iran is going to dump it’s treasure on this proven system. Good.

All these countries are suckers for unproven weapon systems. I can’t cite one example of the system working at any site.

Yes, we or Israel can probably deal with the additional SAM threat, but it will eventually cost some more lives in the process, thanks to Vlad (The Impaler) Putin. George Bush may have looked in his eyes and seen his “soul”, but honestly, all I see is an evil a$$hole.

“George Bush may have looked in his eyes and seen his “soul”, but honestly, all I see is an evil a$$hole.”

As much as I love GWB, he missed the mark completely regarding Putin’s soul. Putin doesn’t have one. What the President saw was a cardboard cutout of a “soul”.

You almost have to ask yourself if Russia is sending them over with shaving cream for propellant (or some other completely bogus components). Putin must be laughing in his corn flakes on this one.

I agree. Bush is a good man, but his biggest flaw has been his inability to accurately judge the temperament of others, or perhaps, a belief that his own force of personality can influence people beyond what their essential character makes possible.

This was vehemently denied by Russia over 1 1/2 ago, and it is believed that a Russian journalist was killed for uncovering the news back then, and also a US citizen (Russian immigrant) was shot up (but survived) in his Maryland driveway for raising awareness about journalists who tried to report on such arms deals.

I think GW realized what Putin was and tried to appeal to his vanity but it hopelessly failed. I think he knew he had few options with Putin.

Bush is also ignorant that undocumented insurgents(aliens) will become prospective democrats.. will vote democrat.. even before they become citizens.. and bleed every entitlement program they can possibly infect.. IF they are not arrested for felony's first.. as they are given a pass on most misdemeanors..

UNless he is NOT ignorant but lobbys for the insurgents ON PURPOSE... being the globalist and anti-nationalist(soverignty) that he is..
