I hope and pray that McCain wins-as the lesser of two evils. I think that he will. But it may be one of the last times, if not THE last time, that anyone who is not completely on the “one world”, New World Order, globalisation bandwagon will win. Otherwise, as you say, it wouldn’t this close this time. I really think that it’s the last gasp for anyone not on that bandwagon to win. After McCain, the deluge.
We conservatives like to comfort ourselves that we now have outlets such as the internet and talk radio to expound and advance our ideas and agenda, when we had nothing before. But for one thing, all that’s done is to make the left feel free to be more blatant in the mainstream media that they’ve always controlled. For another thing, talk radio is usually “preaching to the choir”, and the internet is ghettoised-ie, I don’t often visit leftist sites because I’ll only get angry at the lies, and hatred of America and common sense. I already know in general what they believe, I don’t need to know the details. I imagine that neither do they often visit conservative sites.
And since the mainstream is still, and even moreso, liberal, conservatives are actually just as marginalised as ever. We just have ways to find each other now, that’s the only real difference. The MSM is still who reaches the broader public, and they make no bones any longer about where they stand and what their agenda is. And they still define conservatives in any way they wish, and that’s what the broader public hears. And they still define the issues for the broader public. We can’t overcome that, so it’s amazing, as you say, that it’s this close in spite of that. But I really believe it’s the last time, if it happens.

This American isn’t too stupid to realise that if Obama wins, whitey will be at the back of the bus (or under the bus). Obama and his family didn’t sit under the “Rev” Wright for all those years because he preached the brotherhood of mankind. Race, and paying whites back, is at the core of who Obama is. All the issues are peripheral, or are rote, because that’s what Presidential candidates talk about. Race is the issue that is close to his heart, and not in the sense of uniting them. I fully expect, if he wins, to see at least attempt to get reparations legislation passed-and with a ‘rat Congress, he just might.

I don’t know if that’s more scary or more sickening. What I do know is sickening, is the idea of an American candidate for President pandering to Europeans, particularly those who use us even as they hate us-there’s something wrong with everything about that.
