Senator Obama’s Excellent Adventure (Oliver North)
Fox News ^ | July 24, 2008 | Col. Oliver North

Posted on 07/24/2008 5:21:46 PM PDT by jazusamo

Georgetown, S.C — "What’s this guy running for, ‘Emperor of the world?’” asked the sunburned fellow at the next table where we stopped for lunch. Mr. Sunburn was holding a copy of The Charleston Post and Courier and pointing to a headline, “Obama pledges to work for peace.” The inquiry, addressed to those sitting beside him elicited only shrugs, so he answered his own question: “Just doesn’t make any sense to me.”

The Obama machine’s, “Hope & Change World Tour” has left more than a few people perplexed. Some – like the gentleman beside us at the restaurant – are American voters who wonder why the presumptive Democrat nominee is campaigning in foreign countries for president of the U.S. Others – seem baffled by the places and people chosen for meetings and photo-ops with the candidate. Apparently, among the mystified are members of the media who should have been asking tough questions. A brief look at what actually took place during this ten-day soiree only adds to the confusion:

The first five legs of the Obama overseas campaign swing were paid for by the U.S. taxpayers. Billed as a “Congressional fact-finding trip” it included U.S. Senators Jack Reed (D-RI) and GOP dissident, Nebraska’s Chuck Hagel.

The first stop after departing the U.S. on July 17, was Camp Arifjan in Kuwait. There, Senator Obama preened for the cameras with U.S. troops playing basketball – a stunt unlikely to be replicated by Senator John McCain whose war wounds keep him from raising his arms over his shoulders and doing a decent lay up

Shortly thereafter I got my first inquiry from a colleague who asked, “Why do all the images, taken by the U.S. military and released to the public, show Obama in such a positive way?”

On my nickel.

That's a misuse of the word soiree = an evening party or social gathering, esp. one held for a particular purpose.

that's a very well done post.

***

Also, I was surprised at how effectively North stated what troubles me most with the rhetorical question -- "...why the presumptive Democrat nominee is campaigning in foreign countries for president of the U.S. "

***

Now, everybody gets it. Nobody's fooled. So, the big question is, will it work anyway?

Unfortunately, we were warned that Bill Clinton was, among other things, a philanderer, too. And it turned out to be the defining (if anecdotal) characteristic of his tenure.

Sam Kinison said it best (paraphrase)

"We (Americans) have been kicked out of every decent nation on the face of the earth."

Barak Obama wants to takes us backwards into what we all left in order to form a more perfect union here.

I never thought that we would see the likes of Antiochus Epiphanes received so well. I mean, I did, but I didn't.

Obamanation Indeed!

First They Came for the Jews

First they came for the Jews
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for the Communists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for me
and there was no one left
to speak out for me.
Pastor Martin Niemöller

Community and individuality are not opposites. People cannot survive on their own. When the odds are stacked against you, you must rally with the oppressed and hated.

When a growing oppressive regime is taking hold, you must act, otherwise you will soon face your enemy alone and hopeless.

Strength of community is a strength as much as individualism, as long you are willing to face weaknesses in your own community. Ignoring slacking values will mean that you will be rallied against by those you oppress.

Niemöller affirms we must rally against unhealthy organized regimes. We must also stay vigilant with those that appear to be good natured, as all organisation attracts corruption. Niemöller also warns us that if it is you who are corrupt, then you will face a stronger combined force of foe!

YET?

Heck, I’ve been scared out of my skin since last summer!

We’re in trouble, folks.

And while I was still a youngster during WWII, I’ve seen enough documentaries and heard enough from relatives or friends who were there, to recognize the parallels.

Still perplexed? He's the Illuminati candidate for president.

Soros provided the funding. The media is doing the public relations.

No mere candidate for president has ever been welcomed by the world as if he were already president BEFORE the election.

re: "A narcissistic megalomaniac - Check"

That part deserves further investigation.

The question is why they are being so obvious at putting their Frankenstein monster Manchurian Candidate on world tour so soon (BEFORE the election). You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out they have BIG PLANS for him.

I never thought Sam Kinison would give me a revelation, but I think this spells out what the winey American-hating American citizens are all about: America is an orphan nation, a nation of adoptees, and they want to be at the teats of the mother country.

In light of the doctrine of being "adopted" into the family of God, America is really special, indeed.

Obama is a dangerous man
Obama is dangerous to America and our freedoms
Obama is dangerous to the world
To all who say “McCain is not conservative” or “I’m tired of choosing between the lessor of two evils”, please reconsider
We have a democratic congress and Pelosi as speaker of the house because people wanted to teach the republicans a lesson
An Obama presidency would be 1000x worse

A VOTE FOR MCCAIN IS A VOTE AGAINST OBAMA!

"A narcissistic megalomaniac"

In 1992, I thought, just like now, there was no way clinton could pull it off - Americans could not possibly be that stupid. This feels eerily like a replay.

It's not an accident.

But the dumbing down of the masses is having an influence. Some actually believe the utopian stuff and think Obama will be the Great Liberator. He's just the puppet though. Get ready for the New World Order. Berlin is just the opening act.

“The question is why they are being so obvious at putting their Frankenstein monster Manchurian Candidate on world tour so soon (BEFORE the election).”

That’s a very good question.

I wish I knew the answer.

I suspect that Obama’s puppet masters are even more arrogant than he is.

Lets hope that their arrogance brings about their downfall.

God bless America!

Personally I think Obama's a light weight in the real political realm. Nothing more than a puppet, manuevered by the puppetmaster.

What scares me, from a strictly selfish human fear factor, is that Obama will destroy this country, politically, economically, and militarily.

Terrorism will increase SIGNIFICANTLY, worldwide. All enabled (if not encouraged) By Obamas foreign policies, and his "talking" with terrorists leaders and states.

His tax and spend and tax and spend somemore policy will destroy our economy so bad, it'll make the "great depression" look like a raucous party. Dragging the rest of the world into poverty like Zimbabwe.

Because the US will be neutered Israel will have to go it alone, surrounded by nations out to destroy it. Turmoil in the mideast will be like never before.

With poverty running rampant worldwide. Terrorism a daily occurence. The mideast a powderkeg ready to explode, on top of the worlds oil supply. Dogs and cats living together...oops.

The world will need a true savior. A messiah. Not just one who poses and reads a teleprompter.

Then the antichrist will enter. Making, Obama look the imbecile he really is. Making Hillarys quest for power look like a 3rd grade bully. And all the while fooling even the elect, if it were possible, of his messiahship.
