A hotel security guard told FOXNews.com he intervened this week between a man he identified as former Sen. John Edwards and tabloid reporters who chased down the former presidential hopeful after what they're calling a rendezvous with his mistress and love child.
The Beverly Hilton Hotel guard said he encountered a shaken and ashen-faced Edwards — whom he did not immediately recognize — in a hotel men's room early Tuesday morning in a literal tug-of-war with reporters on the other side of the door.
"What are they saying about me?" the guard said Edwards asked.
"His face just went totally white," the guard said, when Edwards was told the reporters were shouting out questions about Edwards and Rielle Hunter, a woman the National Enquirer says is the mother his child.
The guard said he escorted Edwards, who was not a registered guest at the hotel, out of the building after 2 a.m. Edwards did not say anything while he was escorted out, said the guard, adding that at times the reporters on the scene were "rough on him," sticking a camera in his face and shouting questions.
The guard did not recognize Edwards at the time of the incident, but said he concluded it was the 2008 presidential hopeful after hearing reports about the incident and finding an Enquirer reporter's notebook at the scene.

Nah, but she may benefit. Johnny has been bashing the Enquirer for some time for exposing this story some time ago. I think the paper probably had a PI following the woman.

Yep, Gotta get the rumor mill in full spin to maximize the pix $$ value and command the highest price before selling the video to TMZ or whatever entertainment hype channel.
I wouldn’t be surprised to find Edwards people in on the bidding to acquire it all. I that did play out I love the irony of his “refined” good old boy, clean cut image paying through the nose for listening to his Johnson.
Thats a relief, at least he’s not gay.
Two of the reporters have now filed criminal complaints which apparently will force Edwards to describe the scene.

I wondered if the woman didn’t tip the Inquirer herself. She’s got a baby and, I imagine, wants a full time baby daddy. He’s probably promised her all sorts of things after ______ (fill in the blank) and she wants it now not later.

The story here is not that John Edwards begaved like we all expected. It is the complete abscence of response from the national media, including Fox News.
Couple this story with the story on political contributions of the media and the Messiah Obama’s media tour and anyone that can’t win a debate about media prejudice doesn’t deserve the beer he should have won.

The reporters were registered guests, and Edwards was not.
Hotel security prevented the "registered guests" from entering the restroom while protecting the "unregistered guest".

A Horn dog Edwards certainly appears to be, but first e need a DNA Test to prove the Baby is his, then its still inpossible to prove they didnt do it artificially. But lets remember Gov. McGreevey, some Horndogs dont care whether its male or female with a preference for one or the other.

Let's see now...they're saying you had an affair with this woman Rielle Hunter, while you were running for president in the primaries although your wife has terminal cancer. They're saying the woman got pregnant and your associate compromised his marriage and family life for your convenience, by claiming she was HIS mistress and bearing HIS child. They're saying that a simple DNA test would settle this thing very quickly but you haven't had one, and neither has your associate who could easily clear you if he really is the father. They're saying you're a liar and a cad.
