Obama Campaign Site: Too Many Old and Stupid People in Florida
The Husaria: For Our Freedom and Yours ^ | 7/28/08 | Winged Hussar 1683

Posted on 07/28/2008 12:53:34 PM PDT by Winged Hussar

To the Alzheimer’s Disease jokes at My.BarackObama.com, over which the Obama campaign staff exercises editorial control, we add the following. The moderators whose job is to remove “objectionable” and “disrespectful” content from My.BarackObama.com had no problem with this statement, and (given the jokes about Alzheimer’s Disease and “senior moments”), it probably does reflect the campaign’s views of senior citizens. Note also that this is from the Headquarters Blog, and the blog owner has the power to remove commentary of this nature. He or she apparently considered it neither “offensive” nor “disrespectful.”

In my honest opinion, Barack should focus on the rocky mountain and the mid altantic states in Nov. Florida is just too old and uneducated. It’s like WV and PA put together. The latest poll showed him beating McCain by 5 points in PA. So let’s just forget about Florida. There’s just too many old people here. As Pat Buccanan said, “change” for them means a trip to the morgue. They will resist Obama. It’s hopeless here in Floriland.

Nowhere can we find, by the way, any evidence that Pat Buchanan said this about senior citizens. It is probably from the under-thirty crowd at MoveOn.org and Barackobama.com that wishes people who are old enough to remember traditional American values would pass away so the tongue-pierced crowd (the Obama Girl included) can take over the country.

KEYWORDS: alzheimers; citizens; obama; senior

This won't cost Obama any votes if it stays at Free Republic. Please circulate it, and the screenshot, as widely as possible so senior citizens, who vote in large numbers, can see what Obama's camp really thinks of them.

The same site, My.Barackobama.com, has a wide array of comments about Alzheimer's Disease. One even said it was "funny."

There *ARE* too many old stupid people in Florida.

They’re usually registered Democrats. See the 2000 election debacle, wherein Democrats were too stupid to vote using a ballot designed by a fellow Democrat and approved by yet another Democrat.

5th commandment.

It’s not just about your “parents”, it’s about respecting those older than you, and those that have come before you.

Of course, you stated it, liberals are inherently arrogant and believe themselves wiser than anyone that has ever lived before them, and wiser than God Himself.

I heard it just the other day - if a young man comes to court/date your daughter, and, while you’re talking to him, he utters the words “I know”, kick his butt to the door.

There are some real parallels to the ascendency of the “hippies” in the mid- and late-sixties.

As they perceived that the populace was accepting their message (and, as it turns out, the press was lap-dogging it for them because it sold papers), they became quite full of themselves and began to believe that they were the rightful deciders of policy in the US.

Somewhat quickly, the radical hippies went from “we are the future leaders” to “the future is here and we are the leaders”!

Again, some (scary?) parallels.

That's what really makes liberals stupid (among other things). The idea they will be old and possible have Alzheimer's someday never enters their shallow, self-centered little minds.

Democrats were too stupid to vote using a ballot designed by a fellow Democrat and approved by yet another Democrat.

No they weren't. You just don't understand the fraud.

This how it worked

They stuffed the ballot with Buchanan votes to create a statistical anomaly.

They employed a call center (in this case it was in St Louis) to call all elderly registered Dems in Palm Beach County to see if they had voted, if they had the voters were queried as to whether they didn't accidentally vote for Buchanan and encouraged them to return to the polls to request a re-vote.

Eventually when they could get hold of the ballots they made them up into small stacks and ran them through on the Gore vote. Ones that were already Gore votes remained unchanged, others become double votes and get disqualified. This is also how the hanging chads were created.

the rest you know. You can read the whole game plan for how to steal a close election in one of Saul Alinsky's books, I think it may "Reveille For Radicals", not "Rules for Radicals".

It was so obvious that Alinsky's plan was being implemented that, at the time, I was predicting to friends what would happen next and I was usually right.

They all thought I was some kind clairvoyant or political savant. I am neither.

I live in Florida also.

I am one of those who lives near the “Old and Stupid People” AKA Elderly folks and rednecks in North Palm Beach County. I am not elderly nor a blue collar worker but I am voting for McCain, so I don’t know where I fit in. I am also not a “Conservative Christian” so I don’t know where I fit in overall.

I find it astonishing how ageist Obama supporters have become. It is all about Social Security and AARP because they really do believe that voters cannot do anything by themselves and always need governmental help and a wet nurse to do things for them(just as how they view disabled people and soldiers). It is also striking that if FDR ran today, as a Republican, Obama’s website would probably have the same person making fun of polio.

It is shocking and very classless. I am not too fond of all of the New Yorkers who move down here, though I may be guilty as I am also a transplant, but to deride the retirees and the natives in a sentence is shocking. Obviously the misogyny, the Anti-Semitism, the Ageism, Classism and full on making fun of the salt of the Earth mode is good for these goofy people. This is real change we believe in.

Bucko,(I am talking about the people who have posted all kinds of classless stuff on Obama’s website and the Alzheimer’s joker) the Democrat base for a while has never been made up of 60s refugees and retreads all looking for multiculturalism but those who see Labor Unions as family. You keep on insulting people from WV and FL, well it wouldn’t be surprising if somebody hands one of your drivels to a neighbor. Kiss that vote goodbye.

It is these people who *think* they are smart because they went to college and have a degree who will be BO’s undoing. What they don’t understand is that standards were relaxed about admittance somewhere along the line so that universities could get a large chunk of cash from middle class parents who wouldn’t realize that little Jane and Johnny were really too stupid to go to college.

Living proof that _some_ people are too stupid to vote. They’ve even been known to get confused and mark their ballots for Patrick J Buchanan when they really meant to vote for the Sore/Loserman.

I was just talking about all the idiots that went on TV and complained about how hard that butterfly ballot was to use.

I understand you point completely, but they were put up to it by the DNC who called and said to everyone, "Are you sure you didn't make a mistake?" And then explained to them how the ballot might have mislead them.

It was all a crock. The ballot had been published in the newspaper ahead of time and nobody object or commented on it.

Grade school kids were used to test it out subsequently and it was no problem to them.

How often do you leave a polling station and wonder "Did I inadvertantly vote for the wrong candidate?"

The answer is - never, yet droves of old folks returned to the polling places with same "confusion".

the whole thing was a set up from start to finish.

Then in 2004 did you notice how the exit polls wer so wrong? How do you screw up exit polls of actual voters?

My theory is that they skewed the exit polls to provide subequent cover for voter fraud if they could get away with it.
