I voted for Peg Luksik in the Republican gubernatorial primary in 1990. She was completely unfunded and ran strictly by word of mouth against the designated Republican foil, the pro-abortion Barbara Hafer. She came close to upsetting Hafer that year, and that primary set the stage for Hafer’s defeat by Bob Casey in one of the most lopsided races in history.

Hafer later completed her totally unsurprising conversion to the Democrat party and endorsed Fast Eddie Rendell for Governor.

My thought is that Murtha won’t lose, because my own sister lived in Tom Foley’s district and she continually voted for the SOB because ... “He does wonderful things for our district.”

I wish that fat tub of sh#t would just ....... nevermind.

I hope that Mr. Murtha is voted out of office. Vacations for a couple of months and then just putters around the house with nothing to do.

He'll drink more, and tell everybody that he knows at the club how important he used to be.... He'll look himself in the mirror and realize that without honor, no amount of money and leisure time can make him more of a "man" than he was as a Marine willing to lay his life down for his brother Marines and realizing that there are things more important than ouselves... our country, our honor, our family and our brother Marines.

I hope he finds himself all by himself, sitting on a stool with a Colt 1911, a bottle of scotch and too much time on his hands.....

worthless POS.....makes me want to puke just thinking about his shank in the back of combat Marines.....and all the other butt munchers in his district that vote him in. They must just be proud as punch to have this so called "man" represent them in congress.

Another Murtha prime cut is the National Drug Intelligence Center. According to the agency the NDIC was created by Congress in 1991 to develop better strategic intelligence for the nation’s remarkably unsuccessful counter-drug policymakers in the U.S. Department of Justice.

Its 300 employees--including 120 researchers--needed $509 million last year to continue investigating the country’s drug problems despite annual White House efforts to shut it down as “wasteful and unnecessary,” government documents show.

$1.69 million per employed person? Where's the graft going? It's certainly not being spent on what it was "earmarked" for. That group should have a rough budget of $40-60 million at most. Maybe if they had some very expensive equipment, up to 70 mil. The rest is being siphoned off for someone's pockets.
