And I wonder why people think conservatives have no sense of humor. If you go into fainting spells over that stuff, you’d die if you saw some of the WWII era films for soldiers.

The tough part for me is realizing my kids are going into their teens soon. It's a way different world then when I was young and let fly...the crap I got away with clean can kill you now. That was back when HIV was relegated to bathhouses in SF. Now it's in the backyard.

“And I wonder why people think conservatives have no sense of humor.

Perhaps you could enlighten us on the moral equivalence of WWII training films on “sex hygiene” and these wonderfully inventive, cutting edge Planned Parenthood productions, targeting teens and preteens.

And with your highly refined sense of “conservative” humor,
you could probably give us some really good laughs in the process.

Reading through a half page of your posting history, I had to stop because I was laughing so hard I knocked over a whole can of Pringles and they spilled all over the carpet.

Good thing my faithful hound Beowulf was close by, feigning sleep with one ear cocked; attuned to my obnoxious chip crunching sounds.

He quickly bounded to the accident scene in a a flash to avert a tedious cleanup hassle.

Good dawg!

My kids are very young, but we already fear the left getting its tentacles into them.

Being curious, I looked at some of the other bits on the site. There is actually one promoting abstinence.

Perhaps you could enlighten us on the moral equivalence of WWII training films on “sex hygiene” and these wonderfully inventive, cutting edge Planned Parenthood productions, targeting teens and preteens.

Given that both sets of films attempt to do the same thing (prevent the spread of sexually transmitted diseases) for more or less the same group (sexually active late teens, remembering that the draftees of WWII were often 18-21 year olds, same age as college students), I think the moral equivalence is obvious.

As for the ads themselves, personally, I thought they were quite funny if you're not a prude who pretends you don't have sex organs.

If you look at history, it really wasn't all that different. Just remember that syphilis used to be an often fatal untreatable illness and much the "hygiene" films were centered around preventing the spread of syphilis. If anything, it's sad how little we learned from the past - it's almost like we keep repeating the same public policy arguments (e.g. abstinence vs. education) over and over again.

Planned Parenthood is among those pusing the Sex Positive Agenda.

Sex positive proponents oppose abstinence NOT because “it doesn’t work” but because they find it to be an unhealthy supression of sexual desires.

Planned Parenthood also probably looks at their bottom line. There is money in selling birth control and abortions but no money in someone just saying “No”.

That was so disgusting. I’m in or possibly a little past their target age group, and I thought it was extremely disgusting. Planned Parenthood is trying to separate sex from marriage/love which is the way God intended it.

And syphilis is much more contagious than AIDS.

(Second-stage syphilis can be spread by physical contact with sores and lesions.)
