A British family said a crow they adopted as a pet has begun taking on the characteristics of their five dogs, even going so far as to attack the mailman.
The Notaro-Livingstones of Huntsworth, England, said they adopted Jack the crow about 10 months ago when they discovered him outside of his nest and unable to lift his own head, The Telegraph reported Wednesday.
The family said that as Jack recovered, he began mimicking the family's other pets -- a pack of five dogs.
They said Jack steals dog treats from the other pets and will often jump onto the laps of his owners for attention.
I brought him home and we looked after him now he thinks he's a dog and he tries to protect us -- he even jumps on the postman's head, said Joe Notaro-Livingstone, 11.

They must not own any bird dogs.
I get birds (I rescue and free) down the fireplace flute many times a year.
Bird dogs first to alert me.
I was holding on the other day and giving him a drink via a dropper and checking out his bleeding beak. Well he fluddered and I let him go but not before one Lab packed him around for a few minutes in his mouth..oopsie.
Now evertime they here anything flapping or fluddering on that side of the room they think its a bird to hunt.
Attacking the mailman? Now that’s funny!
We have an Australian Lorikeet who runs roughshod over our other pets, even our 80 lb. German Shepard is afraid of this 6 oz. bird. The bird will mimick us calling the dogs, quite a sight to see them trotting by us to go to the living room, only to berate them with “Stupid” when they walked in. The dogs would turn around, tails between their legs, and walk back by us and go back into the room they were in.

"The crows are too big for the bird feeder" ping.
My dad’s neighbor had a pet crow that drove him nuts. He would be out in the yard and the crow would silently crash land on his head or shoulder. The crow would patrol his yard and steal anything shiny it could carry off. It would pick his shirt pockets and fly off. If he was out there hammering a nail the crow was in the middle of it. Hit the nail, push the crow nail inspector aside, hit the nail, push the crow nail inspector aside, etc.
lol. The face on that poor little Bichon says alot. Little cutie being bullied by the nasty crow.
They do now!
Or....is it a dog bird? I'm cornfuzed.....
Lol!
Crows and Ravens are also thieves. They will steal you blind. In Canada last summer I had to shoo them out of my truck when I stopped and left the door open for 5 minutes while taking pictures. Pretty aggressive birds.
