About once every two months or so the Beast is dragged from his cubicle and forced to watch some videotape or power point presentation about “respect in the workplace”. The general tenor of these videos seems to be aimed at teaching the white guys “How Not To Piss Off The Chicks And Minorities In Your Office”. The minorities seem to find this funny as hell and the chicks don’t care - they know that sometimes it’s impossible NOT to piss them off - and most kind of like to be hit on, as long as it’s from men they like. The only people who take this stuff seriously are the white guys who know they have the most to lose.
The point that gets drilled into us the most - and you may recognize this - is that “offense” is defined by law not as the intent of the speaker, but by the reaction of the listener. You can say something in all innocence and offend a person inadvertently, but that’s no defense! The standard is not what you meant to say but how what you said is received by the thin skinned loonie who gets his/her panties all a-twist.
And conservatives did not set this system up. Libs did this in the 80’s to make Sexual Harassment cases easier to win. remember Clarence Thomas anybody? Lefties swarmed the Networks to make the point that even if Thomas didn’t mean to harass Anita Hill he should still fry because she felt harassed.
A few years later panty chaser Clinton lurched into office towing a trawl of harassment cases and suddenly the “Always Guilty” crowd got a big case of laryngitis. The silence was deafening.

The point is - and I ran out of room whilst setting up the post - by the lefties own standard Obama has offended the GOP simply because we took offense! This is the party of "Racial Code Words" and what is good for the goose should be good for the gander.

It’s supposed to be a ‘reasonable person’ test as to whether any ‘reasonable person’ should have been able to perceive that their comments would offend someone. Trouble is that people are so easily offended nowadays and a reasonable person can’t take every little possible annoyance into account when they speak that the reasonable person must be an Equal Opportunity lawyer before they open their mouth. Basically people use this to make money and to show whitey or males that they have power they can exercise over them.

We have them available on-line and can watch in our office. Great for Fridays after lunch at the club, shut the door and it's like you're working or something. It took, seriously, about 3 days to go through all of our compliancy training. I honestly could have been doing something far more productive.
I honestly worked with a great friend for about 3 years before I found out he considered himself "black" (with all the Latinos I know, color varies and I just think "Latino" over race, even in my own home.) Gotta love the guy, he's brilliant, and his personality is so strong I guess it took 3 years for me to figure it out - LOL! I'm surrounded by brilliance....
At any rate, now I know what liberals think I need to do not to offend him. Really want to know what offends him? Ask him the exact same question twice...
latinos are the best. They have a great sense of humor and they are mystified by our “oddball white guy” sensitivities. I work with a bunch of Domincans and we have so much fun.

Obama staff says that since he is having trouble getting the ‘white, working class’ vote it is RACIST. But the fact that he has 99% of the black vote ISN’T RACIST?

This is one reason I don't have the high degree of fear of Obama that many seem to. If he is elected (which IMO is highly unlikely) four years of a non-American Hahvahd educated black flinging the race card in his typical offhanded way will wear that card out to the point that every time a black cries "discrimination" there will be a collective silent STFU in this country. It will be a really rough period of racial unrest, marked primarily by shouting rather than rioting, at the end of which virtually no one will want to hear it anymore. Including a lot of blacks.
IOWs what electing the ultimate sexist, Bill Clinton, did to feminism electing the ultimate race pimp, Barack Obama, will do to the race hustling industry. That is my two cents.
