Obama certainly has the influence to get Pelosi and Reid to move on energy but has chosen not to.

You got it ass backwards.

Pelosi and Reid have been waiting on the messiah to move his position from no drilling to nuanced drilling

They have all their hopes and dreams on him winning in November so they cannot take a position as important as drilling if he is not for it. They can't leave him flapping in the breeze being the complete suit he is.

Now that he has "flipped" they can come back in November with a Obama plan to drill, which will be the same position as McCain plan except Obama will be the hero

I see your point, but would counter with the lack of a viable American Energy Plan is a security crisis. As the ME continues to move towards nuclear armament, China and India continue towards their industrial revolution, and oil being controlled by dictatorial and hostile governments to the United States this is a National Security issue.

*IF, we are going to truly defend Israel as her ally, we need to be able to supply our own domestic energy.

*IF, Iran does drop a nuke or worse nukes and Israel responds in kind, we MUST be ready domestically to deal with the energy crisis this will create.

Allies of islam have already aligned for these two scenarios and probably others which will reach to Nigeria and other oil supplying nations.

America without energy is a paper tiger. We will sacrifice, struggle etc. and then what? Democrats will tell us to “inflate our tires?”

No, these traitors to our National Security must be stopped. $4.00 gasoline is the tool to get the American people to act. There is a much more sinister picture than just gasoline. It is heating oil, it is natural gas, it is industry, economy, plastics, products, production, interstate transportation, and food.

I feel our country is in imminent danger both at home and overseas.

When Obamination is defeated in a landslide and McCain is waiting to be sworn in as the next President, the presstitutes like Chrissy Matthews, the alphabet networks, and the entire MSNBC-CNN sycophancy, etc. will be instructing the American people what great patriots the clintoons are for not pressing the issue which would have asked Obama to step aside since to do so would have burnt down so much of so many American cities in the black-rage backlash. Of course, the statements will be made with billowing city smoke rising in the background as the riots fizzle their way across Detroit, Los Angeles, Chicago, Seattle, Denver, Boston, Houston, Atlanta, and perhaps a few other well chosen cities in need of ‘urban renewal’.

No bones to pick there

My only concern is a future POTUS (like Obama) using, as a precedent this event, if Bush actually does call them back, to harass the Congress to do his bidding in the future since this isn't done according to the letter of the law.

Why don't all these libs against drilling disown everything they have which is due to oil, and other fossil fuels?

Because they are delusional, liars, frauds, and hypocrites? These sissies will be whining the loudest when they lose all their conveniences.

Something needs to be done to stop the EnvironMENTALists!

My sister predicted that she will have to pay around $6,000 for heating oil this year. And it will be the same next year, and the year after that, and for decades if we don’t do someting NOW.

If Clinton didn’t ban drilling around ten years ago, we would have reasonably-priced oil now.

“I think ol’ hillary is going to bide her time and mount a challange in ‘12-regardless of who wins in Nov. She will challange an incumbent sitting dem-of that I have NO doubt. It will be Carter\Kennedy ‘80 all over again, but I think she pulls it off.”

I think she’d pull it off too... Regardless of whether or not she’s any better, Obama is unprepared for the challenges facing this country. Anyone will look better than him come 2012, should he win. Half of America could get blown up and his cult would still rave about him, but I think it’s safe to say that most Americans will ensure he’s a one term president at worst.

What sort of publication is this? I have to ask because it is one of the most poorly written THINGS I've read in a long time. As a former teacher of English, that last paragraph nearly made me pass out!

The writing was terrible, but I was gratified to to hear that dumb, dim, lib, Dems are beginning to second guess “The Annointed One”, too.

Truer words were never spoken, but have you heard anyone, other than Dr. Charles Krauthammer, mention this fact (the environmental exploitation of the global poor)? The Sierra Club, and other greeniac organizations, are conspicuous by their silence on the subject.

Yes, Nanny Nan Pelosi will still want to save the planet-—just not today.

That is what I think. When I heard him make this declaration he was already listing caveats to drilling. Absolutely nothing would change! We would still be paying terrorists for our oil.

Absolutely, and if we are going to be paying $4 for gasoline, I'd much rather it was being paid for AMERICAN oil.

Obama has shown Americans again - he has no principles and will say anything to get elected.

"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus

“I want to be President so much, I'll say anything”,

That is the key, he will say ANYTHING he wants to get elected. Once he is sworn in,"Screw You. I'll do what ever I want". Which is to suck up the the leftest.
