I’m looking at this picture and thinking what a wonderful target for a couple well placed 2000 pound smart bombs.

Speaking of Tartous, from this link...

Sources: Assad adviser assassinated(General Mohammed Suleiman)

According to the sources, Suleiman was shot dead by a sniper in the Syrian port city of Tartous. They added the funeral service will be held on Sunday in Suleiman's home-town of Driekesh which is located less than 20 kilometers away from Tartous.

Doubt it. Sounds like a Syrian job.

Here’s an interesting tidbit from Ha’artz:

“Pan-Arab al-Hayat newspaper, quoting “well-informed” sources in London, said the officer had been found dead on Friday night-Saturday morning. It said the officer had been in charge of “sensitive files” and was close to the Syrian leadership. “

And yet according to Hollywood, MSM, Code Pink, most citizens of San Francisco, the DNC and most of the Democratic leadership elected by fellow useful idiots, it is Bush and Republicans who are fascists.

And then these morons wonder why only about 45% of the nation trusts them on national security issues. These morons would not recognize a bad guy if he lit up their butts with a ___________ (have at it folks) and even then it will because we don't understand “the terrorist(s) angst”.

Hey, is that Mookie down there in the front row, center bottom of picture? If not, sure looks a lot like him.

He looks younger and bathed, but he has the black towel on his head, which means he's a descendant of Mohammed, may pigs be upon him.

The Tartous venue is very interesting. If a ship explodes somewhere in the Med, or goes missing, you may have the answer.

It could still be Mossad or IDF.

Or the CIA...

So many possibilities: Hizbullah payback for the assassination of Imad Mughniyeh, or internal forces within Syrian military, or possibly Assad himself wanting to be free of his chief ‘handler’....... or Lebanese payback for all the assassinations of their politicians, or Mossad for all kinds of reasons, or Iran as warning and punishment for Syria flirting with negotiations with Israel..... etc. etc.

This guy was not merely some “aide” to Assad, he was the real power behind the throne and Assad, monkey-boy, was just a puppet and figurehead. Now it will be interesting to see if Assad is asserting himself, or if others in the military cabal that runs Syria are taking over.

Love this - “Syrian authorities tried unsuccessfully to prevent publication of the news.”

Just like Nancy Pelosi would do!

We have had friends in the right places before...

Ahmed Shah Masood

Perhaps some of his relatives live on? Good news for Freedoms sake.

Don’t kid yourself on these “charismatic” types. Mahsood was a fanatic Muslim and as such brutal and ruthless.

“Maybe Iran or their stooges Hezbollah is sending a message to Assad about attempting any potential peace deal with Israel.”

Exactly my thought when I read the article, specifically I believe it’s Iran. This would be the warning shot across Assad’s bow. Assad is for Assad. Like Seaweed on the ocean floor, he sways with the current of whom appears to be the strongest, and reacts to cover his personal’s.

It will be interesting over the next few weeks his reaction.

“The enemy of my enemy is my friend” concept applied. We had a president that sold us down the river further than Mahsood ever did. Even bombed another country to cover up a blue stained dress.
