705P ET: Victor Davis Hanson, Hoover, re the 1960s reawakened by the pontificating Al Gore and the troubled John Edwards, re Obamania recreates Beatlemania, re “What if Iraq Works?” “Critics of the war now argue that a victory in Iraq was not worth the costs, not that victory was always impossible.”

Re the Moses webad.  Re Axelrod: "He said it to a crowd in rural Missouri, 99 percent white," Axelrod said moments later on the same program, explaining the context of Obama's remarks. "There were all kinds of press there. Nobody reported it as a racial comment. Nobody certainly said what Rick Davis just said, that he called John McCain a racist. The only time this became an issue was when Rick Davis and their campaign decided to kick it up and make it a racial issue, and that's exactly what -- they've been running a negative campaign for weeks."

750P: Professionals continued, re Ted Stevens indictment, re the refusal of Congress to bring off-shore drilling to a vote, re Congress’s unprecedented low ratings.

805P: Larry Kudlow, CNBC “Kudlow and Company, What recession is that? "Could the decline in GDP in the fourth quarter of 2007 mark the beginning of a recession? Certainly not yet by the most common definition that calls for two straight quarters of declining GDP. –Sudeep Reddy, WSJ.

935P: Noah Andre Trudeau, author, "Southern Storm: Sherman's March to the Sea," re the relentless, bloody-minded total war launched by the marginally sane and Grant-favored William T. Sherman. Nothing about Sherman's cruelty is predictable. To my knowledge there were Batchelors on both sides in the march through Georgia.

955P: Exeunt re Beijing cadre double-crossed the West and IOC and censors the internet; and who is surprised?

KFI Sunday Schedule August 3, 2008

820P: Re the Moses webad.

835P: Michael Levine, author, “Guerilla PR,” re the polls and Obama, the polls and McCain, and the persistence of unproved reports of Obama’s biography, such as his religion, his background, his politics.  Does identity politics help or hurt the Obama campaign?

850P: Shai Oster, WSJ, at Beijing, re last moments before Olympics, the smog and rush of construction in Beijing. Also the smog thickens over many Asian cities. Ted Stevens needs to take a hike.
We don’t need his stuff during election.

Great line up tonight! Larry Kudlow likes the Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin for McCain's pick for a running mate since she can drive home the ANWR drilling and energy independence issue.

I like all three of those you name. Eric Cantor is at a disadvantage for never having served as a governor. If McCain's advisors are trying to keep Virginia in play, the only eligible past GOP governors I can think of are George Allen and Jim Gilmore. Gilmore is currently running to fill the retiring John Warner's Senate seat.

The thinking that a Pres. or VP has to be a Gov. which I see so much of on FR is outdated thinking.

Sort of the thinking that we should fight wars the way we did in WWII.

So many haven’t realized, we are in another mode, especially the war we are fighting, and the various candidates that see this are the one we need to look at.

The economy is important but they don’t make pockets in shrouds.

The discussion of Ted Stevens and other career politicians makes me yearn for the days of Newt, the Contract, and rollicking Term Limit debates.

Did you catch this last segment? Talking about Obama’s certificate of live birth — is a forgery and has been literally taken apart by a forensic computer expert and reveals a well known woman born in Hawaii about the same time. Further, at the end, it appears that Obama was an Indonesian citizen at some time and the original birth certificate lists him as such (not sure I understand that, if born in the US you are a US citizen).

This is surreal. I was looking for this thread as I just read at No Quarter blog about it. Larry Johnson is the guy John was talking to- a lib - pro-Hillary. This is finally going to come out. STUNNING.

http://noquarterusa.net/blog/2008/08/03/breaking-techdude-finds-original-text-on-birth-certificate/

~snip~

For a quick preview – the original COLB used to create the KOS COLB image belongs to a female and does not belong to Obama. Another follow up report will reveal exactly who the original underlying COLB did belong to. Trust me when I tell you it is going to be one hell of a major twist that no one would have seen coming. I had to quadruple check my results because I did not even believe it and I currently have a few other people double and triple checking my results as well just to be 100% sure.

That said, and in the interest of fairness, if the people responsible for forging the COLB come forward and admit their liability the name of the original COLB owner will not be released publicly. It is only fair to give the guilty parties a chance to take responsibility for their actions before it embarrasses a lot of people and ruins some people’s reputations.

As a heads up to the guilty parties – the names and dates have already been restored – as has the fact the owner is a female born in the 70’s. That is all that will be revealed publicly for now. Besides if I turn up in a ditch someplace the information is already in a few 3rd party hands and they will just release it in my place.

~snip~

I wonder why Batchelor is so obsessed with Ted Stevens tonight and neglecting all the centuries the Dems like Ted Kennedy, Chris Dodd, Charles Schumer, Byron Dorgan ad nauseam have occupied and abused the place. Thank goodness Monica Crowley occasionally makes a valid point instead of all the piling on of the corruption like it's only the Larry Craigs of the world. I love Batchelor's show but there is always a point where his desire to appeal to the San Francisco crowd sets my teeth on edge. Okay, that's the end of my Batchelor rant!

Interesting update on the Uyghur (pronounced Weeger) people of Turkistan. Like Tibet, these people are under the Red Chinese thumb. Guest thanked President Bush for his efforts in liberating their people.
