Responsible guys are chumps to get married or become fathers.

Not if you find a wife raised in a family with a father that understands his role to protect and provide.

These women are called "Proverbs 31 women" - the jewels of the planet.

Unfortunately, they'll live in the same sewer as the rest of us. Society is providing too many incentives for irresponsible behavior.

My first wife was a believing Christian, but became unrecognizable.

Activists have created a legal system and societal template that punishes responsible male behavior.

We'll have more of one, and less of the other...and some will claim the problem is that men aren't as responsible as they used to be...while others will claim it proves the need for more laws to punish men.

Nothing I said was brutal. My views were anecdotal from one shelter. No—I never saw any woman getting any help, other than free room and board. There was no counseling, there were no demands on the women. They were free to come and go as they wished, as long as they were in by 11 PM.

Ask the feminists. Objectively, guys are chumps to get married or become fathers. Asking them to 'take one for the team,' doesn't change that.

I think you two have swerved into an undeniable truth.

The left’s overarching goal is the destruction of the family.

Look at everything they do, everything contributes to the destruction of the traditional family with the nurturing supportive wife, the protective providing husband, and children who are under the authority of both.

What you, and others on this thread are suggesting is that men are predisposed to violence toward their spouse/partner, and that anything can set us off.

No, what I'm saying is that abusers are good at hiding what they are, at least initially. Often times the monster that lies beneath is hidden until some major stress lets it out, and then it never goes back. Abusers are the ultimate con-men. They have to be.
