Until I got to the attempted carjacking in the article, I was trying to figure out what laws the 18 yr old had broken...
He couldn’t very well use Ma and Dad’s car for the getaway now, could he?
You got a mouse in your pocket, bud?
Bill Clinton attended a Catholic school for a while in early grade school. I believe part of Jefferson Davis’ education was from a Catholic teaching order (in early 19th-century Kentucky there won’t have been the sort of parochial schools that were set up later).
Here’s the only article I’ve seen addressing your question about the kid not being able to drive away in the attempted carjacking:
“A witness says he knocked the man down and took his keys, but they ended up being the wrong keys and he couldn’t start the car.”
That’s possible. I carry several sets of keys, though usually I only carry one set in my pants pocket and the others in my purse.
The article stated the old man was locking his car, so why would they be the wrong set??
Court documents say McKenzie-Gude dropped his Blackberry in the victim's car, and it was later found by police.
Iknow, that was real convenient, wouldn’t you say?
I don’t need the keys to lock my car or to turn on the alarm, for that matter.
I just hope that if I’m ever carjacked at knifepoint, I think to throw the wrong set of keys and make a break for it while he’s trying to figure them out!
Maryland “Freak State” PING!
See post 77.
Thanks. I did see that.
I used to tell people I lived on the south side of Chicago, when, in fact, I lived in Champaign.
;-)
I'm in the Peoples Republic of Maryland and not sufficiently plugged in to the demokrat mob that runs this state to get a concealed mouse permit.
As did your tag line.
Sorry about the delay. I was in Montana filming bighorn sheep porn and didn't have an internet connection in Glacier Park. (:^o)
