Al Gore has a new boat and even it is green.

The boat is docked at Hurricane Marina on Center Hill Lake in Smithville, about 70 miles east of Nashville.

While it doesn't have solar panels yet, a spokesperson at Gore's office told News 2 they are scheduled to be installed Wednesday.

The boat is named Bio-Solar One and has been called the "Toyota Prius of boats"...

How about.....just don’t have a boat, Al. No chance you’ll pollute or waste energy that way.

The Prius of boats is a sail boat. Don’t even try to prove otherwise.

I saw the pic. It appears to be at least 60 feet, and I guarantee you it has a carbon-footprint several orders of magnitude larger than my gas-powered Baja regardless of the solar panels and “alternative fuels”.

The boat is named Bio-Solar One and has been called the "Toyota Prius of boats", reportedly so efficient it only needs to be filled up with fuel once a year

So the B.S. One only needs to be fueled once a year. Big whoop. We gots aircraft carriers and submarines that only need to be fueled once every 50 years.

Solar panels don’t make very good sails though...maybe it should have sails as well. That way if it’s cloudy there might be some wind.

How much you wanna bet that he doesn't even hook up the solar panels. He'll just haul them around the world and show off how green he is.

It looks like he could fit a hundred of his fellow eco-saints at a time, relaxing under the shade of the solar panels. Of course, those hundred would have to get their own transportation to the lake, which is 70 miles from Nashville. And I bet not all of his friends are in Nashville, either. They are probably all over the world, he's a Nobel Prize winner you know, and they would have to fly over on their personal jets to Nashville in order to huddle under his solar panels.

Subtract the friends who would only ride on his boat as holograms, though, so there's some savings.

Al Gore has a new boat and even it is green.

EVEN it's green like the Gulfstream he flies around in, the limos he rides around in, the house with the $30,000 annual electricity bill? Green like those?

The contempt if feel for that PoS is indescribable

Dang!!!

I’ve stayed in boats like this (never owned one).

Talk about methane gas, when a lot of people use the toilets, the smell will run you out of it (from the overflow, which flows in the lake at some point). That is, unless you have some special status, and your septic tank gets pumped out several times a day.

Of course, you’d have to be a VSP, a “star” to get this kind of treatment.

I feel sorry for the Secret Service personnel that have to travel with Gore. Maybe they get a few hours off to throw a popping bug at the numerous bluegill that hang around docks. I wouldn’t eat them, though. But they are fun to catch, and release.

BTW billhilly, the boat is not on the lake I thought. But, it is on your way home. Perhaps we should meet in middle TN, and hang out with some good people over there.

I’ll freepmail you about this later.

Only needs fueled once a year?

HELLLLOOO... it’s a lake boat in freaking Tennessee. How far can it possibly go? It’s not like he’s gonna drive it to Havana or something. He’s probably on it what... a few weekends out of the summer? And then, how many times does he even bother to leave the dock?

The Queen Mary is very fuel-efficient too. Lately.

“Only needs filled up once a year”

If I only drive my car 300 miles a year, I would only have to fill it up once. Liberal logic.

Just like when Al Gore flies all over the world adding to Global Warming because his mere presence in far off lands will reduce Global Warming. Self importance is the crux of liberalism. They are better than everyone else, therefore their beliefs mean more than everyone else's.

Using the Nuclear power to make his bio-boat go, algore could offset the 10% increase after GREEN in his home, I use the Internet he invented, I have found that nukes are safe and make power, and we have lots of oil here

If you are tired of paying high prices for fuel, These 2 people as "leaders" of congress, Are blocking the vote from coming to the floor. We need to send Mail, good old snail mail, mountains of it, so when they return in September the voice of the people will be heard.
