Why? No nation, not even the U.S., is going to get directly involved.
I am not talking about military action. I am speaking of any action as a response be it a call for negotiations or an invitation to tea.
I agree but I’m not sure about an ad yet. He should continue to be visible. Obama has zero experience with military operations and foreign policy. McCain will benefit from this and from the Iraq War. People trust McCain because he has been there. He was right on the surge before it was popular.
Ping.
Of course they will. The international community has called for the fighting to cease. What else did you expect? It is the same for any conflict. In the end. The U.N. and possibly a NATO peacekeeping force will be brought in to monitor a buffer zone once the Russians push the Georgian forces out.
... and I'd hope McCain's ad would claim neutrality just in case one of our newly-minted NATO members decides to take a piece of Russian hide for some centuries-old grievance.
Oil speculation went crazy on Friday, when someone (Russia, maybe??) dumped a huge quantity on the market, distracting American traders with visions of "cheap gasoline" and rising stock prices to go along with Olympic ceremonies ... while they were rolling their tanks.
Don’t worry ... this has to be all over before Monday morning, because Americans can only hear bad news over the weekend, when it can be ignored in favor of barbecues, Olympic breaking news, Barak on the beach, and other IMPORTANT items.
