Sheriff Blasts McCain For Silence On Illegal Immigration (Ohio)

Sen. John McCain visited Liberty Township for a Thursday fundraiser, but a fellow Republican will not be in attendance.

Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones took out a half-page newspaper ad blasting the presidential candidate’s stance on illegal immigration, and similar ads are planned for other Ohio and New York newspapers.

“Before I'm a Republican, I'm an American, and this is an American issue, and I can say what I think,” Jones said.

McMaverick better pick one heck of a V.P., because even against an avowed enemy of this Republic (Obama-lama-ding-dong) he is having a hard time keeping up.

Perhaps if McMaverick would just shut his yap for the next 80, or so days, he might squeak out a win.

Seems it's air pressure on the Left, and a$$ kissing the Democrats on (what once was) the Right.

Yeh. Every time that he seems to get the upper hand, he opens his mouth and causes us to shake our heads in disbelief.

One of the most recent things has been the new Gang of 10 in the Senate who tried to direct energy/oil policy with a “Bipartisan Energy Plan”. [Pubbies blinked —— again.]

I can't see Graham ramrodding this kind of activity with McCain's approval/consent. Graham has had his head so far up McCain for years, hoping for a high position in a McCain Administration. For that reason, I don't see Graham being a major player in the Gang of 10 — which seems to contradict McCain's more recent, stated positions on energy — and going against McCain.

McCain's stance on energy is like his stance on illegal immigrants ... pure B/S..

McMaverick is counting on the publics short memory, and lack of reading/ listening to his words and deeds of the past.

He has already destroyed any semblance of Conservatism in the RINO Party, so voting a lesser of evils is just about as evil as it gets.

I suppose fixing up the old building is not worth the cost anymore. It needs to be torn down and rebuilt in accordance with the original plans.

Yep.

R’s goooooooooodddddd. D’s baaaaaaaaddddddd.

More kooooooool-aid.

==

Look at how many are advocating the McMaverick is suddenly going to turn in to some conservative wonder, when elected. His history of the last 8 years shows he won’t. His pal Lindsay is still bending over to reach out across the aisle with the new Gang of 10. Yet, many will ‘hold their noses’ (what a crock — they deserve what they get, then) and vote for McCain.

Modified version of the definition of insanity: voting for the same and expecting a different result.

If elected, McMaverick is only going to be more maverick — with the bully pulpit. Conservatives better hope he provides KY. They will need it during the next 4 years.

Hey, I don't write the articles...I just post ‘em. LOL

But, I guess because the Sheriff is a Republican and Republicans & conservative Independents EXPECT more from the GOP than the ‘Rat party!

We just finished 7 years of a GOP POTUS who refused to seal the borders, deport ALL illegals & fine ALL employers who hire illegals; we don't want another GOP POTUS following suit for another 4 years!

I hear you my friend. lol btw does it make your skin crawl every time mcstain says “my friends” hell that could be a drinking game one shot every time he says “my friends”, you would snockered in about 15 min. I think too many conservative are too confortable in their life to tear down their party, they fear obama too much to do anything. If I wasn’t in Iraq right now I would seriously protest Mccain at the convention, but I am sure many would call me a mouthpiece for the dems, a dem operative ect. I surely wish our conservatives picked up their balls and protested.

I mention Graham because he has been up McCain's rear for years.

Haven't you been watching? Graham was a part of the old Gang of 14. Why do you think Graham is called McCain Junior by many?

Graham certainly expects a big pay-off for that.

When it comes to illegal aliens, both have an unacceptable agenda - both are willing to sell out this country. He probably blasted McCain because McCain was visiting. Also, McCain has taken a more frenzied role in pushing his agenda - even losing control and screaming obscenities at senators who do not agree with him on this issue.

I never expected the GOP to nominate someone this far to the left on illegal aliens and incapable to fight WOT. The biggest threat to this country comes from the open borders and illegal aliens. The planes on 9/11 did not take off from Iraq but from American soil.

I decided to go with McCain because I am convinced Obama will trash the military and I am sure McCain will be a better President for our military.

"Just what are presidential campaigns for?"

You don't need the campaign, you can look at how they voted.

They both support the amnesty part of comprehensive immigration reform, with slight differences.

MaCain supports a guest worker program, but Obama, dems, and unions want to limit that because guest workers are hard for the union to organize. Obama voted for the the Dorgan amendment to sunset the guest workers.

McCain supports employee verification and linking Real ID to verification. Obama voted for the Tester amendment to block Real ID and co-authored the amendment to block verification.

On border enforcement, Obama is philosophically opposed to more, but will go along with it because it creates lots and lots of good govt union jobs.

I am not so sure McCain is better for the military. I have found his treatment of our POW/MIA and their families highly offensive. His lack of knowledge regarding borders of Iraq, the difference between Shi’ites and Sunnis, etc. is scary.

Obama didn’t write the legislation and it isn’t his driving issue. McCain makes it worse for himself by “blaming” Obama for the failure of the amnesty legislation.

I wouldn’t blast McCain for his silence on illegal immigration. I’d blast him for the times he opens his mouth about it.

The difference is, McCain voters (some of the, probably many/most of them) do care. Obama voters don’t (which is not really true, as some of my democrat friends are very adament about *those people* being here—but they will still vote for Obama because...well....he makes them feel hopeful)!

Absolute rubbish. This is not the same as what the founding fathers were fighting for. They were fighting for representative government. Those who would take up arms against a government elected by the American people are nothing short of want-to-be dictators and terrorists who refuse to respect the will of the people and instead seek to force their rule on the rest of us.

Real Americans will never allow that to happen and will back our elected government wholeheartedly in dealing with such miscreants.
