Mexican army soldiers invaded U.S. territory and held a member of the U.S. Border Patrol at gunpoint. "Unfortunately, this sort of behavior by Mexican military personnel has been going on for years," a statement from Local 2544 of the National Border Patrol Council said. The Tucson Sector Border Patrol agent was held at gunpoint near Ajo, Ariz. Mexican military personnel crossed over the border and pointed rifles at him. Judicial Watch documented 29 confirmed incidents along the U.S.-Mexican border involving Mexican military and/or law enforcement personnel in 2007. The Border Patrol union said, "A few years ago the Mexican military went a step further and put a 50 caliber rifle through the rear window of a Border Patrol agent's patrol vehicle south of Ajo. Nothing was ever done. Nobody was ever held accountable. Particularly galling is the fact that the Mexican military often pulls these stunts in Humvees donated to them by American taxpayers." Law enforcement authorities have long said Mexican soldiers have been hired to protect drug and migrant smugglers. On the Washington Times forum page, a participant said, "I'm surprised the Bush administration doesn't arrest and convict the border agents involved like they did Ramos and Compean. Don't worry, we won't have borders anyway. We'll be the North American Union and will be nothing more than a Third World oligarchy just like good old Mexico."

good fences make good neighbors.
I wonder if the Mexican’s are being emboldened by the events in Georgia.
They’re being emboldened by events right here.
True enough. But when they see how an US ally gets invaded by Russia to “reclaim” their citizens land, I think it raises their uppity regarding US territory. Of course this is going on since decades already. Damn, just built the fence already!
Its a freakin’ war zone. It has been for years. Drug runners, illegals and their mules move thru freely or else they shoot to kill. Ask a property owner. Don’t ask Buuuush!
Whew! Good thing the man in Office and both men seeking the Oval Office jealously protect our borders! /roll eyes
Ajo is just 40 miles from the Mexico border.
PING
Honestly I think the Russians are probably emboldened by the fact that we allow Mexico to slap us around. They probably notice that we do whatever china wants as well.
Since January, more than 1,300 people have been killed in execution-style hits or gunned down in fire fights, which often rage for hours in broad daylight and turn residential neighbourhoods into war zones. If the trend continues, 2008 will top last year's toll of 2,500 deaths in drug-related killings. You don't hear so much about Americans at the Border. Too bad.
More Americans killed by illegal aliens than Iraq war, study says Think about it. A man or woman killed in Iraq or Iran in the line of duty is a hero. But what is an American killed at home by an illegal alien because the government has failed in its sworn duty to guard the borders. This is a pact between the sovereign and the person has paid taxes and loyalty. The answer is to that question is pretty awful. And it bodes ill for the republic.
But is it true?
When you start digging into the numbers the only ones that can be sourced with the feds are the number of American murdered in 2005: 16692
I have seen federal numbers for illegals held in jail ranging from 19.3% to 27% of the federal prison population.
Here's a sampling of USA cities wanted for murder. What you'll see is that in big USA cities like LA or NYC most of the murderers are Hispanic. Unknown are the % of illegals. In smaller cities the FBI will post the nationalities of the murderers. About 25% of the most wanted are illegals wanted for murder. This number agrees with the percentage of illegals incarcerated in federal prisons. +-25%Pictures of top 10 most wanted in LA. Up until recent stories about crime in LA posted by the LA Times--the pictures included the nationality of the murderers. They were all foreign nationals and mostly Mexican.
Wanted for Murder in New York City.
Chicago wanted for Murder
Philadelphia wanted for murder
San Francisco wanted for Murder
New Orleans wanted for Murder
Pictures of suspects wanted for murder in Washington DC
FBI USA 10 most wanted. (two of 10 are Mexican nationals) Around 40% of the FBI's wanted for murder are Mexican Nationals
There are currently no exact numbers on the number of Americans killed by illegals. Part of the reason is that the government deliberately obscures the number. I talked on the phone with the head of statistics for the US Bureau of Prisons. He said his office wasn't allowed to publish the number of illegal alien murderers. Rather they were forced to put legal and non legal residents in the same category. He said further that most of illegals in the federal prisons were in for drug related charges. Most of the illegals in jail for murder were in the state prisons. I talked to ICE. They put out detailed numbers on illegal child molestors. However, they put out nothing on illegal murderers.
Part of the reason for the silence on the matter is that there is evidence to suggest that most Americans--but by no means all -- being killed by illegals are black--as is the suggestion in this LA Times Article. Also this article from the LA Times. And here. This makes intuitive sense. We see stories regularly of drug gang killings in Mexico but we don't see those same stories in the USA. The reason we don't see those stories is not because its not happening. Rather we don't see the stories about illegals killing blacks because that kind of story is terribly politically incorrect. The populations being displaced in downtown sanctuary cities especially are American blacks. That means that their criminal elements would be pushed aside by Mexican gangs as well. That's also the story that the wanted for murder posters in all the major cities seems to suggest.
Why isn't there an outcry in the black community? Beats me.
Nevertheless, the pattern of non reporting is starting to break. Discovery Channel has a series called Gangland that mentions ethnic cleasing of blacks by Mexican gangs
Reported Foreign Nationals on Death Row in the U.S.
To look at other USA cities go here http://stlouis.fbi.gov/ and replace stlouis with the city you want.
All that said the true number of criminal aliens is far higher than is revealed by criminal aliens in prisons. Most are simply waived through the courts.DHS Secretary Chertoff, has been quoted as warning that two million people in this country illegally have committed serious crimes. If you check the links you'll notice that its McCain who cites Chertoff. See also here and here Here is more info from Judicial Watch.
However the number of illegals on death row is far lower. Sadly, so many small towns and villages across America have sent their warriors off to war half way across the world only to see communities fill up with illegal aliens.
Right - but I think Obama will be the worst. At least McCain has said he wants some border security. That may be bull but we havn’t even heard that little bit from Obama. Where are you Tancred/Hunter now that we need you?
Great pictures - worth more than all the words of the speeches of McCain and Obama and all the other amnestyites.
2. Ramos & Compean shoot an armed Mexican drug runner, who escapes to the safety of Mexico. Months pass & The Mexican gov’t demands the White House make an example of these two interlopers. Bush backs Mexico!
3. Border agent David Sipe hits an illegal trying to resist arrest. Mexico demands The White House to make an example of this interloper. Bush Backs Mexico!
4.A Texas deputy sheriff Gilmer Hernandez who fired shots at a fleeing vehicle after the driver tried to run him down faced 10 years in prison & served 11 months for injuring one of the passengers, a Mexican national being smuggled illegally into the United States. Mexico demands The White House to make an example of this interloper. Bush Backs Mexico!
5. Mexico demands their trucks to have access to our roads & highways. Bush backs Mexico!
I'm beginning to think that Pres. Bush is more an agent of Mexico & then a patriotic American!
We need to take the battle to these Mexicanos.
They need a reminder.
Ajo is just 40 miles from the Mexico border.
Great post and excellent information. By the way, I think the article that points out that we’ve lost more lives to illegal alien crime than we have in Iraq exposes the real indifference to American political, social and economic security that so many liberals falsely profess.
This would thrill the snot out ah me
Wow, I am glad I got a CCW permit. Those are some salty looking people on those lists
We should be at a state of war with Mexico. It shouldn’t take too long to achieve victory.
Absolutely. Even the liberal Democratic President Woodrow Wilson sent Gen. Pershing into Mexico to capture and punish some Mexican thugs who killed and abused American citizens. Even worse, our elected national and state representatives take a solemn oath to preserve, protect and defend the U.S. Constitution. Tell me if you think they’ve chosen to disobey this part of our Constitution.
Article. IV., Section. 4.: “The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and SHALL PROTECT EACH OF THEM AGAINST INVASION.” Even the open-borders crowd admit it’s an invasion!
You're right, the Mexicans have won and no shots have been fired. We just gave in to it.
Just 40 miles??
That is a long way for an Army of an adjoining country to invade/insurge into the USA and hold a member of the U.S. Border Patrol at gunpoint. It would seem like an act of war anywhere else.
Let's not let Russia invade and take over Georgia, but let Mexico invade and take over our country. Bizarre
I think the illegal alien issue will be the greatest failure in Bush’s historical legacy. He’ll have a lot of company. It’s almost like a national suicide compact. We pay ever increasing taxes for bankrupt school districts, insolvent hospitals, social welfare services and the enormous human and economic costs of the drug cartel. And we tolerate insecure borders in this age of international terrorism. Your list is a great summary of a deadly situation.
Has McCain addressed this issue yet?
Very important.
Why have we not heard from Obama or McCain?
My daughter's FIL is an ICE agent in that sector. I don't know if he is ok or not since the kids are camping in the mountains.
Anyway, he says he and his mates are shot at daily. But they cannot shoot back or even show a weapon.
Frikkin sick! There will be an armed insurrection there in <5 years.
Georgia was added to Russia relatively late (not much more than two hundred years before the 1917 Revolution) and they’ve always had a rocky relationship with Russia. Stalin was a Georgian and always spoke Russian with an accent. When he was Commissar for Nationalities he invaded his homeland and was so brutal that even Lenin was angry. In my opinion, this is part of the quest for a unified empire that goes from the czars through the Soviets - of which the Putinites are a part.
We object to Russia invading Georgia but not a peep from Washington about this. Okay, folks, what's wrong with this picture?
It seems it's not just Bill Clinton's wife who keeps his testicles locked up in a glass jar.
[That is a long way for an Army of an adjoining country to invade/insurge into the USA and hold a member of the U.S. Border Patrol at gunpoint.]
It was “near” Ajp. That would likely be nearer Why.
I think you are correct. Whoever is going to takeseriously the threats from someone who allows his and his own to be flagrantly violated again and again with impunity?
You’re exactly right and it greatly saddens me. Not just because I supported Tancredo financially and worked for him here in Fl but because the nation is headed toward a cultural disaster that will soon be irreversible. As Rush often says, I’m a conservative first and a Republican second. I agree with you - and we’re going to get what we settle for in spades.
They threw a rifle through a window?
Who writes this stuff?
All I’ve heard is that after he took a beating in the Senate with the McCain/Kennedy comprehensive (amnesty) immigration bill, McCain has promised more border enforcement. I don’t know if he means it or is just pandering to the conservatives. I’ve heard and read things that suggest he’s not sincere and just spinning. The only thing I am sure about is that Obama is more of an open-borders freak than Calderon! I suppose that makes McCain the proverbial lesser of two evils.
I never got such a meaning. My impression is that no rifle was thrown at all but put simply pointed thru an open rear window of the vehicle.
Good point. Some people are more concerned with the security of Georgian and Iraqi borders than our own.
They have been doing things like this before the distraction that is Georgia happened.
That is what is getting me, the Mexicans are coming across an undefended border and Mexico is becoming a basketcase. Chavez in South America is working to make his country communist and to cause other nations in Central and South America communist as well.
We have major national security issues in our own hemisphere yet the Chicken Hawks on this forum would want our military to devote resources to some spot in the south of Russia that most Americans can’t find on a map.
I am in the National Guard and I am going to tell you that most military I know would end up voting Democrat if Republicans get us in a war with Russia over South Whatever.
Most likely, concerning the border, the war is over, either way we ain’t going to like it.
After McCain-Kennedy, you have to have blinders on to believe McCain. After all, he hired Juan Hernandez.
I would imagine the Mexicans have been emboldened by Bush, seeing how he's made American sovereignty and citizenship all but pointless.
Nah. I think they're just drinking too much vodka.
Isn’t that how other countries do it?
What gives?
“Mexico is a peaceful religion.”
We fought the Mexican War (1846-48) under President Polk and many of the U.S. officers were very prominent in American history. The future presidents Grant and Franklin Pierce participated. So, too, did Robert E. Lee and Jefferson Davis. The war was very unpopular, not because the U.S. didn’t have legitimate grievances against Mexico, but because the North felt it would result in an extension of slave territory. U.S. Grant, in his memoirs, said he hated the war for that reason but that Mexico was nevertheless guilty of very serious crimes against American sovereignty. In other words, the whole matter of justification for the war was obscured by the escalating and extremely controversial American domestic issue of slavery. This has, to the present day, also obscured the Mexican crimes against American national sovereignty. By the Treaty of Guadalupe-Hidalgo America paid Mexico $15 million for the ceded territory (what, about a billion or more dollars in today’s currency?). But to put this in context, the land that today seems so priceless beyond imagination, was at that time virtually worthless per acre, unsettled, undeveloped, and largely occupied by hostile Indian tribes. Given today’s PC historical revisionism this part of American history is falsely described as American “imperialism” and exploitation. The facts tell another story.
It was near Ajo. May be near Why, What, Where or When, but still about 40 miles from the Mexican border.
I drove past Ajo a few times, and we commented on the pronunciation...must be A-Ho right? Why people have called me the name of a city before, I don't know...
You’re right again. But I put the blinders on again because I’m afraid to face the “change” that that empty suit Obama will bring. In horse-race terms, Obama is a sure winner for ruin while McCain is a long shot (say 25-1) for victory. How would you bet? It’s a sad day to be at the track!
