The mainstream media's reaction to the National Enquirer's reports on John Edwards' "love child" scandal has been reminiscent of the Soviet press. Edwards' name has simply been completely whitewashed out of the news. Say, why isn't anyone talking about John Edwards for vice president anymore? No, seriously –- hey! Why are we going to a commercial break?

An E-Mail surfaced where Rielle referred to Edwards as “love lips.” Hee hee hee.

She’s right though.

The same press suing for the “right” to print pictures of dead soldiers coming home are now quietly accepting this blackout.

The NYSlimes will put 8 journalist, for a year, on a story to expose a secret CIA activity, or run a front page story about John McCain’s “alleged” mistress...but not a word about Edwards.

I stand by my tag line too. The DNC hasn't written the copy yet.

I commented when this story first started to trickle out through the cracks that the MSM can't control, If Romney or Huckabee had an affair it would be front page/top story until after the convention. Democrat scandals just aren't news in their book.

We were taught during the Clinton years that democrats cannot be held to any moral standard because, well, it ain’t on their platform.

The MSM justify banner coverage of the smallest malfeasance by any Christian or conservative, with or without independent verification...

How true. Investigative reporting is shifted into high gear whenever conservatives are involved but the MSM is very protective of those in their own party. The most glaring malfeasance and hypocracy in the country IS the MSM itself.

Y'all are confusing as heck.

Edward's lip lump used to bug me to no end, however, Obama's pronunciation of words ending with an 's' creates a whistle that's very distracting. He should get a dentist to carve off whatever's causing it.

Dick Durbin actually claimed this morning on FNS that what Mark Foley did (send instant messages) was worse than Edwards actually commiting adultery. This takes the Dems’ ability to indulge in moral relativism to a new high (low?)

Well, it is certainly obvious for all to see who is prepared for the picture to be taken. He is prepared, ready and waiting, even if the others are not. His teen daughter is also prepared but this isn’t about her.

“Rielle referred to Edwards as “love lips”

And Ann took all that heat for implying Edwards was gay. Now we know by his own admission, he was deeply in love with himself.

Dick Durbin You're so right. Now there's a guy who could use a boot up his.....

I don't get much on cable anymore 'cause my wife decided that too many people in this house were watching too much teebee.

I miss Hannity and Colmes- I was just getting to where I could understand a conversation between two guests shouting at the same time.

FNS is on regular broadcast - I don’t have cable. It’s the only Sunday show semi-safe for conservatives who don’t want to have apoplexy with their morning coffee:)

Edwards is about as worthless as tits on a boar.

His apology was just so much crap and his claims that others did it.

I feel sorry for his dying lefty wife but she too went along with all this in 2007.

no way that baby ain’t his...he’s paid her off for now

“Does this mean he’s not gay?”

No. It means he is bi. He had to “bi” it at a bargin price of $15,000 a month. Now that the gig is up I wonder what the lady will do for a job? Maybe she will be full time manager of the babys trust fund set up by Friends of Edwards.

“no way that baby ain’t his...he’s paid her off for now”

Now we’re left with the bigger question....did he use campaign funds to pay her off?!

IMHO, he’s the daddy and his wife did not know about this affair back in 2006.

I would love to see that video. Sooooooo...our military behave like Nazis and Mark Foleys sin was greater than Edwardss. Those 2 utterances need to be juxaposed and repeated a thousand times for the public. I think they would disagree.

I don't know if there is a video (there may be), but here is the transcript:
WALLACE: The reason I ask is the revelation late in the 2006 campaign that Congressman — Republican Congressman Mark Foley had had relationships, involvement, with congressional pages seemed to be very damaging to the GOP in that election. What's the difference?

DURBIN: Oh, there's a big difference. I mean, exploiting children and infidelity in marriage — I think people would say both are wrong, but Mark Foley's situation with the pages involved a relationship which was just absolutely scandalous. These are young people coming to Washington who are really in our custody and care as members of Congress, and I think that was the quantum difference between the two.
Now, perhaps I am misremembering the Foley incident, but I thought the sum total of his provable sin was some aged instant messages.
