Issac Hays passed away this morning

Breaking News:

Issac Hayes passed away this morning, comfirmed by Shelby County Sherrif's office. More later when article is posted.

He had a stroke earlier this year, per news reports.

Very sorry to hear this. His work with Stax artists and his solo stuff (including the theme from “Shaft”) gave pleasure to so many millions—including me.

Sigh .............. Another one I wish to ‘travel well’. His music was great and the parts he played in the movies and on TV were entertaining and of course South Park was way out there. Thank you Isaac.

I believe people have the right to their own faith, but I am not sure Issac Hayes would interested necessarily in prayers since he was a Scientologist.

In addition to Escape from New York, Hayes also had a memorable role on "The Rockford Files". I remember he kept calling James Garner "rockfish".

Isaac Asimov was an atheist (or at least an agnostic) but he saw no harm in someone praying on his behalf.
