Excellant observation. Why do we always have to clean up the mess that the Libs “peace initiatives” and “decades of negotiation” leave us? can you say Madeline Albright and the Chia Pet?
Am I being a nervous Nelly by really being uneasy about this.
Like the dreaded war with Russia uneasy?
Well, Georgia did make a mistake here ... they stumbled into exactly what Russia wanted. Russia set this up, goaded Georgia into a fight and suckered Georgia into “swinging first.” Russian intel picked up that their goading worked and they mobilized their forces to move when the ball dropped. Russia had their war.
Georgia acted exactly as the puppeteer wanted ... and that was a huge mistake.
I am praying for peace. I am really really praying. I pray this is not the start of WW3, or WW4, however people are keeping track nowadays.
Will either NATO or the USA send troops to chase Russians out? Will Georgia be able to defeat the Russians? If not, then we have to agree that they miscalculated - and badly at that.
Our VP, Richard Cheney, despite the demonic “propaganda” forced upon him by the main-lining media is a very, very good man. I am in awe of his courage and fortitude, and his support for Liberty and the safety of the USA!
What argument? Missed that one I guess.
No desirable outcome would come of the US entering this conflict militarily. I’m not anxious to get nuked just
because our worthless, amoral politicians made some deals with Georgia’s own worthless politicians.
The more proxy states Russia gets under its control the more it can wage war against the West through its intermediaries, example: Iran, North Korea, Syria and formerly Iraq. We’ve expended untold lives and money containing and winnowing Soviet-Russian military expansionism down. We shouldn’t stop now.
Great character. I love the colors!
the domino theory is alive and well and is the commies’ favorite tactic. Political and military tactics don’t change just cause the calendar has turned. I’m not saying Putin will march into Poland tomorrow, his style is more passive aggressive and swarmy and slow.
I know. My wife and stepson are Russian. They are over there now on vacation. Their family's in Rostov-on-Don, but right now they are vacationing in Tuapse on the Black Sea, about 60 miles from the Georgian border. I'm scared sh1tless, as there's nothing I can do. Prayer is all I have right now.
I hope it is with enough weaponry to embarrass the Russians in the same manner we did in Afghanistan in the early ‘80’s. Again as I said on another thread, let Putin taste some significant Russian blood.
Wow! Incredible -even for those commie b*stards. Thanks for posting.
I agree. We may not be in a position to “decide’ we want to take on russia.
And even in such a situation, military involvement doesn’t always mean the style is invasion or all out war.
I hope they are safe and can leave soon.
How the **** do you know "its certainly not applicable in this situation"???
We absolutely cannot lose Ukraine, that would be a disaster. This needs to be ‘nipped in the bud.’
The domino theory ain’t new, true, but it’s perfectly applicable in this situation. The dominoes have already started falling. First, the story was that Russia only wanted South Ossetia. That’s the first domino. Moving troops south of the Caucaus mountains into South Ossetia allows easy access to the rest of Georgia. That domino is being pushed over right now. Taking over Georgia allows Russia access to Black Sea ports, so they can attack the Ukraine partly from the sea, without having to worry about temporarily loosing access to the Ukranian ports during hostilities. The Ukraine borders Poland. Poland borders the Baltic Sea and Lithuania. And so on ...
WW III is starting, right now. The regrowing Russian Empire may not achieve critical mass, but it’s certainly starting to agglomerate nations to its own bulk. The best interest of everyone, East or West, is to stop that agglomeration ASAP, before critical mass is achieved. Once that happens ... once enough dominoes have fallen ... it may never be possible to lift them up again.
and we are so sure this happened, how? Russia’s media?
