Hi, Eric, my point in my “Operation Canned Meat” link is to show that the Nazis had the mock Polish attack planned and were ready to jump on Poland with all four feet, not in response to any attack. Like Hitler's Germany, Putin's immediate Russia ‘response’ is way too large to be anything but a preprepared campaign planned way in advance of any Georgian ‘surprise attack.’

As for me, my response would be to tell Putin and Crowd that they had 24 hours to halt their forces and honor a immediate ceasefire or we'd close the the Roki tunnel, trapping all Russian Forces in South Ossetia, and begin military assistance to Georgia including combat air support.

A war with Russia is not a pretty thing to contemplate, but letting Russia get away with murder is not either. Putin is no fool, he will not start a nuclear war as he knows he would lose.

Now, the idiots in Iran are just such fools and we need to knock their A-bomb ambitions right into the dirt before they actually set the Mid-East on a white hot nuclear fire
