HIS AFFAIR SCREWED HILL, EX-AIDE SAYS (also-ran Hillary pouts---Bill asks Edwards for phone nos)
NY POST ^ | 8/12/08 | CARL CAMPANILE

Posted on 08/12/2008 5:07:22 AM PDT by Liz

A former top aide to Hillary Clinton said she would have defeated Obama had John Edwards' sex scandal been exposed last year..... "I believe we would have won Iowa, and Clinton would be the nominee," her former communications director, Howard Wolfson, told ABCNews.com. Obama won the first-in-the-nation Iowa contest Jan. 3 with 38% of the vote, boosting what had then been seen as an underdog campaign. Edwards edged out Clinton for second place with 29.7% of the vote. Clinton came in third with 29.5%. The Obama campaign still must decide whether the convention should feature a roll-call vote allowing Sen. Clinton's delegates to show support for her candidacy.

They seem to be building a case to try and take away the nomination from Obama at the convention.

Get out the popcorn.

The Witch needs to realize she lost. Maybe she can try and pull a coup at the convention, but she was beaten outright.

Although maybe the 'shoulda coulda woulda' helps her team sleep better at night.

I am looking forward to the convention though ....should be mighty entertaining.

Judging from how Democrats rallied around Bill Clinton after his affair was disclosed, an equally valid case could be made that Edwards would have won the nomination had the affair been made public during the early primaries.

But surveys taken at the time indicate most of Edwards' voters would not have gone with Clinton.

Edwards’ Free Pass has been revoked now that it has been decided he will not be Obama’s VP pick.

So Bill had an affair and made her look like a fool, and Edwards has an affair and the info comes out too late and Hillary is screwed again.

That witch must have some really bad karma.

No, Mrs. Clinton endorsed then sided against it then supported it then not then supported it again all in the matter of 5 minutes.
She showed she has no core beleifs other then her personal lust for power.

And the irony is that the Drive-by media - in their goal of getting a Dimocrat in the White house - suppressed the Edwards scandle, causing Barry to get the nomination.

And, Barry will lose.

Hillary would have probably won.

Had they just "done their jobs" - without all the bias and manipulation, they would, probably, have gotten what they wanted.

Life can be very sweet.

"Hillary came in third b/c she screwed-up bigtime, endorsing Spizter's cockamamie plan to license illegals."

Whatever it was that knocked her out of the running (at least so far) is OK by me. ClintonII was far more dangerous than Obama. She would probably have beaten John McCain "in a walk". Obama, OTOH, is, in my opinion, un-electable (especially given the "new" situation with Russia).

I want a role call vote just to see faces on the supporters as it comes down to the final states to see which state puts the winner over the final number. Remember it isn’t over until the final vote at the convention.

Can't see how, infidelity is no biggie to liberals. I never heard hillary coming out against her husband's infidelity - only against the vast right wing.

Juanita, Kathleen, Paula and Linda - tell us how your life was ruined - tell us how Hillary is against infidelity! Maybe we will hear from the $100 man, Carville - how it's not Edwards fault - but the trailer park trash.

Can't see how Hillary could use this incident to show anything in her favor - but only a reminder how she used the opposite approach to help herself back then.

She is saying this now to mount evidence for a new vote at the convention. She won’t call for it herself, but is hoping her supporters will clamor loud enough for it.

Sooo, let me understand this line of thinking:
Edwards hurt Hillary’s run for President because his trouser snake problems didn’t come out soon enough....

AND,,And We actually had her husband in the White House because HIS trouser snake problems didn’t become known early enough for voters to make a better decision?

Double standard...
Paging Double Standard....

God does have a sense of humor...

Edwards and Obama both ran on “change.” Edwards did not screw Hillary. Several polls indicated he took more votes from Obama than Hillary. Hillary and Wolfson’s desperation is showing.

You got a point. Ironic that after the Edwards' scandal, Bill Clinton, with his sleazy history, will give a major speech.

Bugeyed Hillary appears to be meds trying to deal with her defeat.
