Wellington, New Zealand -- A New Zealand researcher who is one of the world's leading experts on the kind of mental health problems women face after an abortion says the new report from the American Psychological Association denying any link flies in the face of the best studies.
Dr. David Fergusson conducted a seminal study in January 2006 that found women who have abortions are more likely to become severely depressed.

I think this is going to severely and permanently damage the credibility of the APA.
The APA... the same jerks who voted to declare homosexuality to be normal. Good thing I don’t look to science for my family’s absolutes.
I hope you are right but nothing else has.
I also think you have to be certifiably mentally ill to hold a position in the APA. Anything else would be discriminatory.
About 12 years ago, I heard that about 1,000 American women, who had abortions, were surveyed and asked whether they regretted their decision. About 70% of them said that they regretted it because they were depressed, since they killed babies.
How were they selected? If it was a Reardon study, the selection procedure wasn’t worth a darn. And I’m anti-abortion.
I heard about the survey on a radio talk show (a local show in Los Angeles), and I don’t remember the host saying how the women were selected. The host was pro-choice, and he didn’t believe the survey. He asked women to call, if they had abortions, and tell whether they regretted it. About 90% of them said yes, and the host was mad.
