Clintons ready to crash Obama's party .... ("Denounce Nobama's Coronation")
Press Democrat ^ | Thursday, August 14, 2008 | MAUREEN DOWD

Posted on 08/14/2008 9:39:38 AM PDT by IrishMike

While Obama was spending three hours watching "The Dark Knight" five time zones away, and going to a fund-raiser featuring "Aloha attire" and Hawaiian pupus, Hillary was busy planning her convention.

You can almost hear her mind whirring: She's amazed at how easy it was to snatch Denver away from the Obama saps. Like taking candy from a baby, except Beanpole Guy doesn't eat candy. In just a couple of weeks, Bill and Hill were able to drag No Drama Obama into a swamp of Clinton drama.

Now they've made Barry's convention all about them -- their dissatisfaction and revisionism and barely disguised desire to see him fail. Whatever insincere words of support the Clintons muster, their primal scream gets louder: He can't win! He can't close the deal! We told you so! Hillary's orchestrating a play within the play in Denver. Just as Hamlet used the device to show that his stepfather murdered his father, Hillary will try to show the Democrats they chose the wrong savior.

Her former aide Howard Wolfson fanned the divisive flames Monday on ABC News, arguing that Hillary would have beaten Obama in Iowa and become the nominee if John Edwards' affair had come out last year -- an assertion contradicted by a University of Iowa survey showing that far more Edwards supporters had Obama as their second choice.

Hillary feels no guilt about encouraging her supporters to mess up Obama's big moment, thus undermining his odds of beating John McCain and improving her odds of being the nominee in 2012.

She's obviously relishing Hillaryworld's plans to have multiple rallies in Denver, to take out TV and print ads and to hold up signs in the hall that read "Denounce Nobama's Coronation."

LOL...she couldn’t use “Beanpole Boy,” a much more alliterative description, because that would be...well, you know.

the clintons are so completely insane. Honestly, I think it would be better to suffer through an Obama presidency than to risk having to put up with them. They are just so evil.

It would be a mistake to think that Hillary’s campaign against Obama is over. She and Bill both realize that if McCain wins, she would be the likely Democratic nominee against him in 2012. At the age of 76, McCain might make easy pickings. Hillary’s argument to win the nomination would be simple: I told you so. Her warnings that Obama was unelectable would have proven to have been prescient and Democrats are likely to feel chagrined that they rejected her in 2008.

How will the Clintons undermine Obama? Not by any overt statement. In public, they will appear to be his biggest fans. Hillary does not dare incurring the wrath of Democratic voters if they feel that she abandoned her party’s nominee in the general election. But the Clintons will do what they do best: they will hog the spotlight. By speaking on Tuesday and Wednesday, this former first couple will spread themselves over the convention, usurping media, taking face time, and making the convention appear, for its first three days, as a Hillary Clinton gathering.

I just cannot stand her, but she got a raw deal from the DNC, the media, reporters, editiors, “impartial” moderators of the debates between her and Obambi, other governors save Pennsylvania’s, and turncoat friends.

I hope she raises holy havoc.

Is it absurd to think that Hillary might run as an independent claiming that the coronation is rightfully hers and it was stolen by a MAN?

If the nomination was taken from Nobama at this point; the fallout would be of nuclear proportions from part of the populace.

The best possible thing would be for McCain to find an great conservative black as VP. And then have Hillary somehow steal the nomination from Nobama.

For Clinton conspiracy types, this opens the way for Hillary to steal the nomination if some devastating personal revelation about Obama should arise between now and the convention.

Actually, that’s how I feel, too. I think Hillary’s awful, but at the core, she’s just another leftist witch. Obambi is something else, much, much creepier and more destructive.

I think Hillary was actually politically outsmarted by him, though. His Saul Alinsky tactics have served him well. He’s very power-hungry on a personal level, even more so than Hillary, and I think she was caught off guard by his ruthlessness. When it comes to his lust for power, Obambi has fangs.

O'Bama is merely the beneficiary of the various groups which Bill and Hill crossed in the past.

Obama can’t even handle Hillery.

I sure he’ll do great at handling Russia and Iran.

If anything is released about Obama, it won’t be traceable to Hillary.
