Photo Documents Barry Soetoro: Indonesian Citizen, Muslim Religion

We just received this photo of a school registration form, courtesy of reader “curious,” taken by Tatan Syuflana, an Indonesian AP reporter and photographer. To my knowledge, the AP has not written a story about this . [revision: There was an AP story story in Jan. 2007, but it did not include this photo]. The photo has become relevant now in the context of other revelations reported on this blog. Here is the AP folder where Syuflana’s photo was found: www.daylife.com.

The AP caption reads: “This registration document, made available on Jan. 24, 2007, by the Fransiskus Assisi school in Jakarta, Indonesia, shows the registration of Barack Obama under the name Barry Soetoro into the Catholic school made by his step-father, Lolo Soetoro. The document lists Barry Soetoro as a Indonesian citizen, born on August 4, 1961 in Honolulu, and shows his Muslim step-father listed the boy’s religion as Islam. (AP Photo/ Tatan Syuflana)”

UPDATE 8/14/08 10:00 AM ET: Matthew over at the blog Changeandexperience did some verification:

A quick search through Google reveals that there is an actual Associated Press photographer by the name Tatan Syuflana. It appears that this photographer specializes in the Indonesian region of the world. The above photo which is hosted on Daylife.com was uploaded about 18 months ago. The upload timeframe would have been around February 14, 2007 about 2 or so weeks after the document was released according to the photo caption from Daylife.com that states that the document was made available on January 24, 2007.

The date of January 24, 2007 was about the time that FOX news incorrectly reported that the Fransiskus Assisi school in Jakarta was a madrassa. The school itself is NOT in question. What IS in question is Barack Obama’s identity, whether or not his name is legally ‘Barry Soetero’; whether or not if he was adopted by Lolo Soetero, whether or not if he retains Indonesian citizenship …

Samples of Tatan Syuflan’s work appears in common news websites such as CBS, The Washington Post, The New York Times, and Time magazine. What is still mysterious is that the photo of the registration document appears to have been scrubbed. In depth research finds that any site related to the Associated Press does not feature it on their site. If it did, it appeared briefly. The actual document itself is eluded to in various articles, find out more below.

What It Means

This AP photo is compelling evidence of the following assertions, which have been set forth on this blog:

1. Barack Obama had Indonesian citizenship

2. Barack Obama had the legal name Barry Soetoro

3. Barack Obama was a Muslim, despite his “fight the smears” claim that he never has been. (see new story that we just posted on this topic).

In addition, it means that Barack Obama apparently lied to the Illinois Supreme Court when asked to provide former names, according to this Attorney’s Registration Record:

When was Barack Obama going to tell the electorate about his Indonesian identity and citizenship?

What is the current status of his Indonesian citizenship?

Did Barack Obama travel to Pakistan in 1981 on an Indonesian passport?

Does his birth certificate say Barry Soetoro?

Did he ever legally change his name from Soetoro to Obama?

Is the correct name on the ballot?

I most certainly DO know what/how my parents registered me in the first grade.

No you dont and that you claim you do shows how out of touch you are. And you likely were not registered in a foreign country when your mother was married to someone other than your father and where you lived for only a few years. You sound like the H.Clinton campaign ranting about Obama's ambitions as shown by his first grade essays. No one who has not gone back and gotten the documents knows for sure how they were registered when they first went to school.

The Clintons have this all set up. She gets her name put forward as a nominee moments after the Clinton private detectives have gotten their proof of Obama’s ineligibility to be POTUS. The info is put before the convention and, poof, Hillary’s the nominee. These people will do anything not to lose. They’ll even risk riots in the streets. Folks, this is going to be interesting.

He has repeatedly been covered by the MSM. What will have the power to break this logjam? Even Hillary must be careful as to how she might bring this to light without sullying her chances against McCain.

Could there be 2 Barry Sootoros? This is a constitutional question which cannot and should not be ignored. What has the power to force examination by the press? This should be enough for FOX.

There are rumors that he had an Indonesian passport (don't know if it's true or not), but it raises the question did he travel to Pakistan on a US passport or the Indonesian passport. Second question a lot of passports list your religion. If he has an Indonesian passport what religion is listed?
